Magpie #26

I see the watering can
on the low wall.
The low wall which
mocks my indolence.

Come over here and do
some work for a change!
I’m being heckled by
stone and mortar.

I settle deeper into my book
content to ignore that call.
The plants can have their
happy hour later.
