Thankful Thursday

I’m feeling upbeat today. There’s nothing like personally handling your own pee to give you perspective. Any day I don’t have to do that is a good day. Although, frankly, it wasn’t really all that bad. So, what else am I thankful for?

• My ultrasound went quite smoothly yesterday. I wasn’t even desperate or anything. In fact I’ve been much worse off on many a car trip. And they had free Wi-Fi so I was able to check my email during the five minutes they kept me waiting.

• I will be so surprised if these tests turn up anything negative. I just don’t feel like anything is wrong with my kidneys.

• I got a picture of the Tax Time Pig yesterday and today he has on a new outfit. It’s like double bonus Tax Time Pig week or something.

• I have a new goal of memorizing my own cell phone number. I feel like I’ve made a lot of progress because I’ve got the area code down pat.

• I’m wearing my cute teal Tom’s shoes today. Makes me smile when I look at my feet.

OK, now it’s your turn – what are you thankful for today?

  1. How do you mention cute shoes and then NOT link to the SPECIFIC pair? aaarrggghhh! Hey, listen: Once you memorize your cell number, could you memorize my husband's for me? I still have no idea what it is.

  4. One of the things I'm thankful for is that Bug is upbeat today! Keep up that postive attitude.

  6. Fingers (and toes) crossed that all is well with your kidneys.

You should see me in a crisis--I can work two or more phones like nobody's business! Not showing off or anything, but I do know my numbers. The problem is that I often give out the wrong numbers to people. I will give patient's my personal number and friends get my work number. It's maddening.

Anywho, I am thankful Thursday was truly a day off. All was done (you know what I mean), and I spent the day quietly with my family. Very special.

  7. It's funny how no one knows their own phone number anymore, isn't it?

Hope those kidney tests turn out fine. If your gut instinct is that they will, that's a good sign. :)

  8. Here's my take on your kidneys. I am not a doctor and I have never played on on TV. I do, however, have some experience with frequent visits to the bathroom.

I had some issues with tight abdominal muscles that, when treated by a physical therapist, brought an end to the nighttime need to pee. I wouldn't be surprised that the pain in your hip is causing other issues within the general vicinity, and this is impacting your abdominal muscles. It would be worth getting that checked out before taking anything prescriptive. PTs are one of God's best gifts to us. Just sayin'.

Glad you have things about which to be thankful. As always, I'm thankful for you!

2024 Project 365 – Week Twelve

I woke up not feeling well and skipped church (for the second week in a row - oops), but that doesn’t keep me from being deep in the throes ...
