2012 Project 365 – Week Twelve

The theme this week is GREEN GREEN grass, birds & flowers.

Sunday, March 18th
Robin in the back yard.

Monday, March 19th
Who’s this taking a bath?

Oh, it’s YOU!

Feel better?

Tuesday, March 20th
Another bad picture of the Tax Time Pig. It was in the 80s this week & I could barely breathe every time I drove by – that panda suit’s gotta be hot!

I bought more yarn! I decided to make an afghan with that nice soft alpaca & I got the bright idea to use a contrasting color with it. I get two of those squares per skein – I think I’ll be at this awhile!

While I was shopping, Dr. M was taking more pictures of the cement pond.

I was given this primrose for my birthday last year. Today I was cleaning out the front flower bed & saw this! It’s a bit bug-eaten, but I was amazed because I thought the poor thing had died at the end of the summer.

Wednesday, March 21st
Dr. M took a picture of this gorgeous tree in bloom.

Which happens to match the State of the Bug picture – I’m on the phone with my sweetie telling him I’m on my way home.

Thursday, March 22nd
I’ve been asking for a new printer for our office for three months. I like our old printer, but it keeps jamming & they can’t seem to fix it. Poor baby…

Today they finally brought our new one – I was flabbergasted! This behemoth is for my boss & me – ha!

While I was drooling over my new piece of office equipment Dr. M had Martha Goose doing some gardening.

It’s time for our spring flag!

I used this picture on my Thursday post – it’s my progress so far on the afghan, plus an origami crane.

Friday, March 23rd
Dr. M went crazy today. Lucky for you I culled out the best of the pictures.

Sheep! This is a whole new herd that he gets to see on the main road to his university – woot!

Saturday, March 24th
This morning I saw a face in my fried egg!

I went to a memorial service for one of my friends from church. I’ll miss her sweet soprano & smile.

Another gorgeous flowering tree.

Dr. M took pictures of one of the board meetings. Looks like a couple of board members are running late.

Now that we’re all here, what shall we discuss?

Go to Sara’s blog here to see the blogs of all the other Project 365 participants. Have a great week!

Most of our photos are taken with a 12 megapixel Nikon D5000 DSLR, using a 55-200mm zoom lens. This is the camera that Dr. M takes with him most days. He also takes pictures with our old reliable 7 megapixel Canon Powershot A710.  The Bug uses our new Nikon Coolpix S6200 most of the time. If you’re interested in which camera was used for a particular shot, just ask!

  2. So that's a primrose?! I've seen those things blooming in flower beds around here but I had no idea that's what they are. I thought a primrose would look more, well, rosy.

  3. Lovin' all the flowering trees! So colorful, so SPRING-ish!

I miss robins. They're such entertaining birds. The parrots we have in abundance here are loud, raucous and messy. I can't set out the garbage too early or they'll tear into the bags and spread it everywhere. Robins never did that.

Go girl, on the afghan! Very nice.

You're looking all pretty in pink :)

Wow! Now that is a copier! hahaha

    Have a wonderful week!

  4. That robin was having a blast in the bath. Loved it. The Japanese Magnolia (tulip tree) shot was gorgeous...I love it when you can see a hint of sky in one. Things are blooming around here too. I still think we may have one more cold snap. I felt so sorry for tax time pig.

  6. I saw a robin in our yard early in the week. There was still some snow around and he looked very confused.

  7. So funny that you saw a face in your eggs. :) I'm impressed with the afghan...more patience than I could ever muster up.

    You look pretty in pink!

  8. I'm drooling over all of your spring weather pictures (okay, not literally...). We've had lots of low temps and rain. I know spring is out there, I've seen a few flowers on my outdoor voyages, but I don't stay out there long enough to find the rest.

Love the egg face! Was it saying "Please don't eat me!"?

  9. I'm pretty sure you could get money for that face in your eggs. Love the birdbath pics. So cute. And Martha goose should visit me. I have lots of yard work for her. :)

  14. You again get the award for the 'mostest' photos, but also the 'bestest'.
Good job on the crafts--afghan squares and origami. I was given a day by day origami calendar and love working the different designs, but have been so busy that i've gotten behind. A fun item to keep on the counter and make when family or friends sit there together.

2024 Project 365 – Week Twelve

I woke up not feeling well and skipped church (for the second week in a row - oops), but that doesn’t keep me from being deep in the throes ...
