2012 Project 365 – Week Seventeen

Didn’t I just post our P365 pictures yesterday? What happened to the other six days? Let’s see…

Sunday, April 22nd
The Weekly Squirrel.

The great hair cutting extravaganza. It took about 5 minutes, but of course I had to document every step. As you will see, it didn’t really change my hair drastically. I do have one piece that’s shorter than I expected, but I think that if you look at the pictures closely you’ll see why – I think my upside down pony wasn’t really straight. I’ll be more careful next time.

I made Dr. M toss the maple seed whirligigs up into the air so I could capture their whimsy. Fun!

Monday, April 23rd
The Tax Time Pig! In a lovely crochet (or knitted) ensemble. And his goosey sidekicks – Frick & Frack.

Dr. M took some fun bird pictures

Tuesday, April 24th
Dr. M took pictures of the honeysuckle bush on our back fence. Lovely…

Wednesday, April 25th
Sheep!!!

And the campus herd.

Thursday, April 26th
Dr. M participated in a Shakespeare’s birthday celebration. In this scene he played Hamlet.

This was supposed to be a solemn moment, but they got tickled (Dr. M is the king in this scene).

The Bard himself…

Friday, April 27th
My lunch – an open face tuna & Cheeto sandwich. Yes, it was very tasty – why do you ask? Oh, & I didn’t spell anything with the Cheetos – Dr. M spent a frustrating few minutes trying to figure it out until I told him.

Dr. M took pictures of tulips – gorgeous!

Saturday, April 28th
I started reading a new book. Note the reading glasses - I’ve gotten spoiled by my Kindle!

Go to Sara’s blog here to see the blogs of all the other Project 365 participants. Have a great week!

Most of our photos are taken with a 12 megapixel Nikon D5000 DSLR, using a 55-200mm zoom lens. This is the camera that Dr. M takes with him most days. He also takes pictures with our old reliable 7 megapixel Canon Powershot A710.  The Bug uses our new Nikon Coolpix S6200 most of the time. If you’re interested in which camera was used for a particular shot, just ask!

  1. Those maple seeds! The little helicopters! My gosh, we'd have fun with them. Maybe not as much fun as dandelion puff, but fun nonetheless.

White flowers are my favorites. I happen to have access to a gardenia bush that's really putting on blooms now. I don't know whether I like the way they look better, or that fragrance.

I can almost feel those tulip petals.

  2. Caption for Dr. M's picture: What means it that my noble mind is here overthrown?

  3. A tuna and Cheetos sandwich...why have I not thought of this???

    Love the white tulips!

After I started reading books on my iPad, I went back to a "regular" book and caught myself double-tapping the word to look up the definition. Talk about a "duh" moment!

  5. Tuna & Cheetos. Hmmm...

I love the Tax Time Pig's outfit. It's so awesome that someone took the time to make that -- not to mention the goose cozies!

  6. What exactly are chitos? (Me, the innocent German...)I ALWAYS love that tax pig, and this time the heart feet! Also the goose outfit, and sheep and I must be related, they always make me smile.

  7. Loved the Shakespearian look and FYI I chose to teach English because of an English prof I had....he did Othello in a big pink rabbit suit....his final statement that first day was...."I teach therefore I act" I never forgot it. Love the pig this week...and the birds...but the white tulips were stunning. Have a great week.

  8. You know how I love your week in review. And I don't know where the week went! I've always thought a little humor might improve Hamlet.

I never thought of Cheetos on a sandwich. I cannot buy them because I have no self control and would eat the whole bag myself.

  9. Hey, Bug--we need you over here at the Dept.! We have an enormous barrel of cheese balls that we got on a whim at a warehouse club. They will make your tuna sandwich difficult to eat (well, maybe if you put it on a sub/hotdog roll it might be okay), but we could sure use the help.

  10. You're a brave woman, cutting your own hair! You did a nice job. Way better than I would have done :) I'd have ended up with an early 70s shag. hahaha

Is that the Tax Time Pig's Easter ensemble? It looks very Easter-ish.

I love the bird taking a bath in the birdbath! :)

Had no idea it was Shakespeare's birthday this week.

I think that sandwich is a BRILLIANT invention! I must try that very soon :)

  11. I think you should crochet and outfit for the tax time pig!

I love my Kindle too, it is really easy on the eyes! I have tons of free downloads, more than I can ever read but I can't seem to stop downloading the free books!

    Blessings

2024 Project 365 – Week Twelve

I woke up not feeling well and skipped church (for the second week in a row - oops), but that doesn’t keep me from being deep in the throes ...
