2012 Project 365 – Week Forty-One

It was another seriously gorgeous week in our part of Ohio – our trees have been so beautiful this fall. Dr. M has two posts on his blog that you should check out – especially because I didn’t use as many of his pictures this week, so that’s the only place you’ll see them. Go ahead – go here and here & then come back. (Here is where you imagine hold music while my post waits for you to come back). [Note: if this sounds familiar, it’s mostly the same intro from last week – ha!]

Saturday, October 6th
We took another ramble today to check out the fall color. Most of the pics are on one of Dr. M’s posts linked to above, but here are a few.

Sunday, October 7th
Dr. M took his history club to the Renaissance Festival today. Here are some of the group who dressed up. I can’t decide if I like Death or the Doctor the best.

Dr. M lecturing (apparently on the value of Doctor Who as a spouse).

My present. I named him Darcy.

Monday, October 8th
It was so cold this morning!

The State of the Bug – at least I have the hat for the weather…

Dr. M took some more fabulous pictures.

Tuesday, October 9th
My favorite kinds of pictures this time of year.

Wednesday, October 10th
The Tax Time Pig is ready for Halloween.

Dr. M saw this silly decoration on his way home from school.

Here is one of my pictures from my ten on ten post. It’s the stack of dishcloths that I’ve made so far for Christmas presents. Go here to see the rest of my pictures from the day.

Thursday, October 11th
Critter pics from Dr. M.

Pumpkins!

Friday, October 12th
I was very intrigued by this license plate – what in the world does it mean? I think we can all agree that Michael Jackson probably needed some help, but I don’t think that’s what this is about. (I added the Halloween “stickers”).

Dr. M took some pictures from around the yard. Our geranium and our miniature rose are both doing so well!

An arrow of tomatoes!

Go to Sara’s blog here to see the blogs of all the other Project 365 participants. Have a great week!

Most of our photos are taken with a 12 megapixel Nikon D5000 DSLR, using a 55-200mm zoom lens. This is the camera that Dr. M takes with him most days. The Bug uses our new Nikon Coolpix S6200 most of the time. If you’re interested in which camera was used for a particular shot, just ask!

  1. That tax pig will do anything, wear anything, to keep from being turned into tax ham.

  2. The hat is beautiful. You look like a movie star wearing it!

We were going to go for a fall color jaunt today and awakened to a cold drizzle and no sun. Maybe tomorrow. Your trees are gorgeous!

  6. That fifth from the last cow pic with his face resting on the fence and the other cows in the background is fantastic.

I've been waiting for the Tax Time Pig. I knew he would be dressed for Halloween. Cute.

  13. What is up with that big plaster cow?! I was confused by your "doctor" reference, looking for someone in a surgical mask -- until I realized you meant THAT doctor.

I love the squash and the leaves. The "psych" license plate must be a psychiatrist or psychologist, don't you think? (Stating the obvious.)

  14. am a bit confused by the rennaissance fair. Is the chap in the tweed jacket and bow tie supposed to be Dr Who nipping back in time to the rennaissance? Like Sheldon in The Big Bang Theory who goes as Spock?

I insisted we buy a pumpkin when we went shopping at the weekend - i have a great recipe for pumpkin pie and we didn't actually get to make one last year

I still think you should work on those tomatoes until you have enough different colours for a game of snooker

  15. Ha! Yes, exactly: Kevin was dressed as the current Doctor Who. I haven't seen Spock, lol, but I did see a Klingon, once. It's a strange event.

2024 Project 365 – Week Twelve

I woke up not feeling well and skipped church (for the second week in a row - oops), but that doesn’t keep me from being deep in the throes ...
