Hi Ho Hi Ho...

It's off to work I go...

Thanks to Dr. M I don't have to walk down a long hallway, card swipe through two doors and walk down a flight of stairs with hot soup. He remembered that we had this thermos on hand. And it is very effective - I burned my tongue the other day on soup that had been in the thermos for over five hours. Thanks sweetie!

  3. Good idea! Without all of those hoops to jump through preparing your lunch, you get to spend more time enjoying the fruits of your early morning efforts.

  6. No one has ever been able to explain to me how a thermos can keep things both warm and cold. Magic?

  7. Oh ha ha - I would be more likely to drop the thing on my foot than to injure someone else with it. I just hope that when I DO drop it (it's bound to happen) it's after I've already eaten the soup :)

Stephen - I think it IS magic.

  8. I can tell you from experience that steel lined beats glass lined. Dropped mine getting out of the car and it ruined my day. I love soup for lunch, too.

  9. I like soup on a cold day, and that looks like one I'd enjoy.

And Stephen....it can't, really. I put a popsicle in with 2 cups of hot coffee: biggest mess you ever tasted. Yuck! ;)

  11. I'm a big fan of soup, too. I had a co-worker once who was on a macrobiotic diet which discourages the use of microwaves. She would bring a lot of soup in a thermos to work.

  12. It looks like kind of a retro thermos. Is it old?

  14. We had a long discussion Steve & frankly can't really remember how long we've had it. We're guessing around 14 or 15 years. It's not one of the vintage ones because the handle is plastic.

They're still making these & they look exactly like this - I went to the grocery store the other day to see what the selection was & there were different sizes of this very thermos :)

I woke up not feeling well and skipped church (for the second week in a row - oops), but that doesn’t keep me from being deep in the throes ...
