2012 Project 365 – Week Forty-Eight

Well, this was certainly a Dr. M kind of a week – we’re a little overloaded on the critter pics here at Bug’s Eye View. I’m sure that no one will complain about that. There’s also a picture or four of the moon…

Saturday, November 24th
Today we ate pulled pork BBQ with Dr. M’s dad. It was yummy. I used two of the sauces. I decided to avoid the small one – it looked dangerous!

Daddy & Amy have this really cool solar glowy decoration in their yard (yes, that IS the technical term). It was glowing when we got home from Dr. M’s dad’s house so I had to try to get a picture of it. I think I might need one for our house.

Sunday, November 25th
Dr. M took pictures of Mr. and Mrs. Cardinal in the morning.

This is the day we drove back to Ohio, and we took our usual off-the-highway route through parts of Virginia. You see so many more interesting things that way! Check out more pics on Dr. M's post.

The Moon!

Tuesday, November 27th
Red-tailed hawk.

Buffy and his goat.

Cow. Don’t you think that her markings look sort of like the lightning bolt theme from Joe vs. the Volcano? Here’s a link to show you what I’m talking about.

This dog was doing a great job protecting his turf!

The moon!

Wednesday, November 28th
Dr. M put up most of our outside Christmas decorations today. I thought these pictures were pretty cool.

Thursday, November 29th
There was ice on one of the ponds that Dr. M drives by. Rude!

Buddha squirrel.

Friday, November 30th
The State of the Bug – clipped! I ordered some Lilla Rose Flexiclips from Lizzie at her Black Friday sale. So far I am in love! I have fine, slippery hair & most barrettes won’t stay put all day, but this one did. Thanks Lizzie!

I don’t know why, but crows just make me laugh.

Pot-bellied pigs & goat that Dr. M saw today.

Meet Heather! As is our usual habit, we can’t really save Christmas presents for Christmas. I ordered this sheep for Dr. M’s anniversary/Christmas present & when it came of course I told him that he could go ahead & open it. She's about 18" tall & is supposed to be a yard ornament. I decided that she needed a hat. I wonder if this will turn into a Tax Time Pig type of a thing? We shall see.

Go to Sara’s blog here to see the blogs of all the other Project 365 participants. Have a great week!

Most of our photos are taken with a 12 megapixel Nikon D5000 DSLR, using a 55-200mm zoom lens. This is the camera that Dr. M takes with him most days. The Bug uses our new Nikon Coolpix S6200 most of the time. If you’re interested in which camera was used for a particular shot, just ask!

  1. When I saw the sheep (I looked at it before I read the caption) I thought, I wonder if she's gonna dress that thing up like the tax time pig! :)

    love the globe!!! very cool!

  3. In my experience, the smaller the bottle the more potent the sauce. I've seen a sauce bottle so little, I suspected the sauce was meant for cold fusion or powering a time travel machine and not for hush puppies!

  4. I want the donkey!
And you appear to have a Christmas Lighthouse in your garden.

Can't get enough of that moon - absolutely spectacular all week. We've got snow here tonight. Yikes.

  5. I love it: all of the animals look like they have their winter clothes on.

  6. Love the shaggy donkey and the glowy thing. The sheep yard ornament is fun, but think of all the storage space you'd need to accommodate Tax Time Pig's wardrobe! I don't know how they do it.

  7. i think i comment too often on your beautiful moon and squirrel shots so i'm not going to mention them today - apart from just then - but i did also enjoy the dog :)

  8. I had the same trouble with barrettes. Then I bought one in Cozumel one year that would stay all day. I wore that thing for years until it finally broke. I still have, thinking that one day I would get a new clip part and fix it. Never have. I cut my hair instead.

  9. Actually looked at your blog earlier, with Ivan's iPhone but couldn't leave a comment then.
Some of those moon shots are a little spooky!
More Christmas decor photos, please! :) I'm enjoying it through y'all this year, so I need plenty to take care of my Christmas "fix". haha
    Have a good week :)

  10. Loved your shots. The moon was a bit eerie...but then....when it is full it seems like that.

2024 Project 365 – Week Twelve

I woke up not feeling well and skipped church (for the second week in a row - oops), but that doesn’t keep me from being deep in the throes ...
