2013 Project 365 – Week Twenty-Nine

Moon and flowers, flowers and moon – the Bug Household survives a heat wave…
Sunday, July 14th
The march of the daylilies continues…

Fluffy clouds…

The moon! It was feeling shy. This picture is quite enhanced.

Monday, July 15th
Look who it is! The Tax Time Pig spending the summer in a bikini. Ha!

My lunch (as seen on this post).

The moon!

Tuesday, July 16th
Daylilies…

I got a haircut (about 2 ½ inches). The State of the Bug – Before and After.

Wednesday, July 17th
Dr. M grilled chicken for dinner.

Which was heroic because it felt like this out there! (This temp gauge is in the full sun at that time of day, so it’s not an actual accurate reading – it was “only” 92 degrees – ha!).

The moon!

Thursday, July 18th
Pinky the Pet Geranium is really strutting her stuff these days.

The garden. Can you see the volunteer sunflower?

The moon!

Friday, July 19th
Our hanging basket is winding down but is still beautiful.

The miniature rosebush is having its second spurt of blooms – lovely!

Cypress vine bloom.

The Moon!

Saturday, July 20th
My two breakfasts – the grits & eggs (and bonus raisins!) was at 8:00 & the fruit was at 10:30.

Squirrel! They’ve mostly been keeping out of sight this summer, but we’ve seen more of them this week.

Dr. M had a little visitor while he was sitting outside a few minutes ago – LOVE her!

Go to Mamma Fran’s blog here to see the blogs of all the other Project 365 participants. Have a great week!

Most of our photos are taken with a 12 megapixel Nikon D5000 DSLR, using a 55-200mm zoom lens. This is the camera that Dr. M takes with him most days. He also takes pictures with our old reliable 7 megapixel Canon Powershot A710.  The Bug uses our new Nikon Coolpix S6200 most of the time. If you’re interested in which camera was used for a particular shot, just ask!

  1. Wow - your hair is really long! If someone cut off 2 1/2 inches off my hair, I'd be bald.

You guys in Ohio were warmer than Floridians on Wednesday!

    1. I've never had hair this long before - it's an interesting experience.

Something isn't right when Ohio is hotter than Florida!

  2. Pinky is looking voluptuous. Lots of beauty there.

  3. I have tried to like grits, I really have. I think I just don't know how to make them.

I admire your garden and wish that I had a green thumb so I could grow all that too, but, who am I kidding, I would probably forget about it!

    1. I think you have to grow up with grits to appreciate them. And I would tell you to just try to Quaker instant, but really I just tolerate them for convenience. Mike makes really good grits, but I've never really mastered it. (And he's the green thumb - ha!)

  10. The problem with this weekly slot is that every week your flower, squirrell and moon shots are so awe inspiring that i keep saying the same thing week after week

so for a change this week:

    Yay Tax Time Pig!!

And - from a Farenheit/Celcius converter thing - i think we had it about 5 degrees hotter than you last week

  11. Amazing pictures my friend. My daylilies have been blooming for what seems like forever and I have a purple hydrangea that has really shown out too. It sits beside and blue one and it really makes the blue one look weak. Loved the salad shot. Looks yummy and your hair is cute with the new cut. Have a great week. Tell Dr. M to keep on shooting! I love everything you guys take and so look forward to seeing them.

2024 Project 365 – Week Twelve

I woke up not feeling well and skipped church (for the second week in a row - oops), but that doesn’t keep me from being deep in the throes ...
