  1. Oh no...snow! I probably should stop wishing for that cold front to come through Florida, huh?

  2. 95 here today! And you don't have to shovel sunshine!

  3. Oh wow. I think that would leave me wordless too.

Although I did live in a climate once as a kid, that it seemed like it started snowing every Halloween while we were out trick or treating.

  4. I'm actually ready for a little cold weather.

  5. The golden-haired one has been tackled to the ground by the opposing team, and the crowd roars.

  6. Oh no snow! It is 36 here right now and cold. Ground critters (yellow jackets) are building in walls....exterminator is predicting a very harsh winter. I hope not here.

  7. Well, I'm a contrarian, so I say, "bring it."

  8. Yikes. Keep it way down there. We had a freeze warning and some sleet pellets up here in NEO. Not sure yet if my herb garden caught frost. (I'm still in my jammies; hey, it's only 8:20 AM!) It was 37 when I got up at 7.

    Anyone remember summer?......Me, neither.

  9. Everything dies in order for everything to be renewed. These very flowers will be blooming again in the spring and posing for your camera.

    1. They will, Stephen! Those beautiful roses and the companion perennials have been blooming every year since they were planted there more than a decade ago. The start of winter is always hardest...days have grown much shorter than in September. I am sure we will warm up again before winter, proper, but this week feels like winter!

  11. Dear Bug, such evocative photographs. Such a beautiful blog. Thank you for your comments on my blog recently. I see you around in the virtual neighborhood and it's really good to meet you more directly. I had wanted to comment on your comment on Nancy's blog recently, the post about the stream. You wondered if you would ever back away from the stream, and I felt an urge to say there is no need to back away if the stream nourishes you, your heart is clearly open and generous and wise, and we take meaning from what is meaningful to us. I felt a strong urge to say that, and so I have. I hope you'll come by and visit again, and I look forward to exploring more here. xo

    1. Thank you so much for stopping by! I'm still wrestling with that stream - can't decide how I really feel about it. But there's no hurry...

  12. I waited to read some of the comments because I thought this was a trick post. But you really had a little snow. Amazing.

    1. No tricks, except by Ma Nature! Snow in Urbana, OH on the morning of Oct. 23rd. It didn't last, but it fell, nonetheless. We had more flurries today and very chilly temps. Probably will see a hard freeze tonight and again tomorrow night. I had to bring Pinky the pet geranium inside! Kinda crazy, no?

  13. Wow... snow in October. Sad to see the flowers coated... time for everything to rest though.

    1. It was a brief snow...the flowers survived it, but likely will get frozen tonight. We went from Indian Summer to early winter in one day!

    1. It really does. I was just going to post that picture alone, but I couldn't resist the roses...

2024 Project 365 – Week Twelve

I woke up not feeling well and skipped church (for the second week in a row - oops), but that doesn’t keep me from being deep in the throes ...
