2013 Project 365 – Week Forty-Seven

Well we’re heading full speed toward Thanksgiving. And I am starting to contemplate Christmas gifts. Does that mean that summer is really over?

Sunday, November 17th
This was another one of those days where we realized that we hadn’t taken a picture. Thankfully Mr. Moon obliged. [Note: this is the exact same thing I said last week – ha!]

Monday, November 18th
Couple of sunset pictures and a couple of cows, courtesy of Dr. M.

Oh, and that moon again…

Tuesday, November 19th
Lots of Christmas decorations around here already.

Wednesday, November 20th
Dr. M saw a hawk! (Yes, he sees hawks all the time…)

And he saw some sheep & lambs!

Thursday, November 21st
I decided to crochet an eyeglass chain to go with my new reading glasses. Um, it’s a little bit thick don’t you think? When I get time I’ll make a skinnier one.

When I got home from work our neighbor came over to warn us that his house was going to be kind of bright. He’d worked feverishly to get decorations up for his two little boys (and his mom). We don’t mind a bit!

Friday, November 22nd
There’re still some pretty trees around.

Parking Lot Crow (ooh – that sounds like a cool band name!)

Saturday, November 23rd
We had a little bit of lake effect snow today – and it’s so cold that the bird bath froze. Brrr!

This is my Facebook status from tonight: Just back from the Parish House where Dr. M fixed the washer. I was going to go try to fix it myself, but if my 6'1" husband had to stand on his toolbox to get to the back of the washer I'm not sure what I thought my 5'4" self was going to do! Thanks sweetie!

While we were there I saw this calendar in the secretary’s office & it made me laugh because we have a budget meeting after church tomorrow. Ha!

Go to Mamma Fran’s blog here to see the blogs of all the other Project 365 participants. Have a great week!

Most of our photos are taken with a 12 megapixel Nikon D5000 DSLR, using a 55-200mm zoom lens. This is the camera that Dr. M takes with him most days. He also takes pictures with our old reliable 7 megapixel Canon Powershot A710.  The Bug uses our new Nikon Coolpix S6200 most of the time. If you’re interested in which camera was used for a particular shot, just ask!

  1. I like your neighbor's house! We discovered last year that Clark Griswold seemed to have moved to a neighborhood about a mile from our house. If he still lives there this year, I'm getting pictures!

The calendar picture made me laugh, too - and I don't have a budget meeting tomorrow!

  2. Those lambs are dear. Their markings are really interesting. I'd settle for a lamb like that if a cow wasn't available.

  3. Folks definitely have the spirit of the season in your neck of the woods.

  4. Ha! Church humor!

I thought black sheep were supposed to be rare and unusual, but that doesn't seem to be the case in your area!

  5. These are Colored Corriedale sheep...they have almost exclusively black lambs As adults, their wool will be a shade of brown on the ends, but darker at the roots. Gotland sheep also have black lambs, with adult wool being grayish, but again, darker at the roots.

  6. yah, christmas decorations are popping up all over. love the crow. there was a crow hanging out in front of the antique store making a big racket but when I returned with my camera it had vacated. and that tree is gorgeous.

  7. things have got to their usual mad level of christmas lights down our road - it's like Blackpool illuminations! (famous winter lights in the UK seaside resort) - lovely moon shots as usual

I like the lacy edge to your glasses strap.

2024 Project 365 – Week Twelve

I woke up not feeling well and skipped church (for the second week in a row - oops), but that doesn’t keep me from being deep in the throes ...
