2018 Project 365 – Week Forty-seven

Remember how last week I said I wasn’t ready for the holidays? Well today I found out that our Prayer Sisters brunch is NEXT WEEK & I hadn’t even decided what to make, much less started on the gift for my prayer sister. (Why, yes, I am making it even though that sounds a bit insane at this point.) Ah well, I picked out a pattern & went out after lunch to get the yarn. I’m sure you’ll hear all about it next week.
Sunday, November 18th
Played hooky from church to go mall walking with this gentleman.

Square (this one makes me dizzy if I look at it too hard).

Dr. M & I went out to brunch & had a great time! I had the Hominy Burger & he had the Piedmont Benedict. It was so good ya’ll!

Monday, November 19th
One step closer in my plan for world domination. Bwahahaha!

Furniture.

Tuesday, November 20th
Dr. M took this photo of a local soybean field. This is the type of picture you used to get all the time here on Bug’s Eye View.

Square.

Wednesday, November 21st
Heather D. Pilgrim says it’s almost Thanksgiving!

Thursday, November 22nd
Despite the fact that I was in charge of organizing things, our big annual Thanksgiving bash was a success. Well, really all I do is send out a few emails. At this point it’s a well-oiled machine that runs on its own. One good thing this year is that I didn’t forget to assign drinks, so I didn’t have to photo-shop anyone into this year’s picture.

Friday, November 23rd
My uncle John took anyone who wanted out to Golden Corral for lunch. I told my dad he couldn’t wear this hat, but he said that it was warm. When I posted the picture on Facebook I asked “Does anybody know why my dad is so weird?” My favorite answer was from my cousin Josh: Not sure what you mean. His shirt is ok, so is the hat. His hair is fantastic. He isn't making a funny face. There is a lady behind him making an odd gesture though. She seems weird.

Saturday, November 24th
We woke up to a bit of ice on the trees this morning. I stuck to my plan to not leave the house – I crocheted most of the day.

My sister-in-law gave me this activist ice cream. I am here to testify that it is delicious! However, it mostly made me feel sleepy instead of inspiring me to get out there & topple the patriarchy. Ha!

We’re entering one of the busiest times of the year. It’s possible that from now until January you will come back to my blog & instead of a post of my pictures from the week you'll just see these words: Fire bad. Tree Pretty.

  2. I like the fluffy tuffet.

  3. I have to say, the word "livermush" puts me right off that Piedmont Benedict.

  4. Totally an acquired taste and one I seldom sample. But I enjoyed it this time.

  5. I confess. I had never heard of livermush. And I don't think I ever want to hear of it again.

  6. I'm finally catching up with you! You are right, this is a busy time of year.

I'd absolutely try the hominy burger and the Piedmont benedict - both sound good. Activist ice cream, LOL. I want some of that, too.

Your Thanksgiving crowd sounds like a lot of fun. Ours was pretty quiet, just four people.

Thanks for stopping by - I'd love to hear what you have to say!

2024 Project 365 – Week Twelve

I woke up not feeling well and skipped church (for the second week in a row - oops), but that doesn’t keep me from being deep in the throes ...
