2019 Project 365 – Week Nineteen

Happy Mother’s Day! I always have a little twinge on this day, but mostly I’m glad for all the great (and hilarious) memories I have of my mom. Love & miss you Momcat!
Sunday, May 5th
I wore my new Feryl Designs necklace today (why yes, I did buy myself something when I got Sue’s birthday present). I always love Becci’s designs, but I think she outdid herself on this one. Also note my glasses situation. I would not be a BIT surprised if I end up wearing a third pair around my neck sometime.

Monday, May 6th
The rose bush that we call Peaches actually is more of a coat of many colors sort of rose. I love her rainbow style.

Tuesday, May 7th
My concealer formed a little heart this morning, which I took as a good omen.

Our peonies have been GORGEOUS this week!

Wednesday, May 8th
The Roy came by for some scritches.

Thursday, May 9th
The volunteer petunia is looking lovely. And Ms. Pinky is almost over her winter snit.

Friday, May 10th
It’s the Spike Leaved Coreopsis that ate Plateau! It’s pretty much taken over the wildflower bed. There are a few other flowers poking their heads up in there, but for now it’s all yellow, all the time. I’m not mad – I think they’re very cheerful.

Saturday, May 11th
I like a slushy Diet Sundrop, so mid-morning I went to put one in the freezer, but when I looked down I had an egg in my hand.  I’d been awake since 6:30, so I’m going to blame sleep deprivation. #what

Work outfits. I’m probably winding down on this – I only have so many different outfits. I have to say that I finally see what folks have been telling me – that one pair of black pants are too baggy now. It’s so hard to give them up – mostly because it’s so hard to find a replacement that I like.

Work is still going well & I’m still enjoying it. Whew! What’s going on in your life?

  1. So glad you're enjoying your new job. Transitions are tough, and switching jobs can be scary.
You're doing awesome with the weight loss! I know how you feel about finding decent pants that fit in all the key areas--waist, rear, length. It's not easy, even if your body's not changing. But black pants are such a basic. If you find a good pair, buy one in a couple of colours!

  4. So glad you are already happy in your new job. Sometimes it takes a while to get to that point. I love your necklace, but there are also some lovely ones that will hold your "extra" glasses. Keeps them easily available and some make attractive jewelry.

I love my two small dogs but I miss having a larger one. My two would freak out if I took them for a walk in the woods.

  6. Love all the flowers!

You look really great! I need to get back on the wagon - I lost a lot of weight until about a year ago, and some of it has found me again. Time to get serious again.

Glad your job is going well. Work is such a big part of life, you might as well be happy there!

    1. Not very well - the physical therapy is causing even more pain. It’s going to be a long slog until surgery.

  8. Glad the job is going well! And Roy -- what a face! I also love the volunteer petunia. It's such a nice surprise when things grow of their own accord.

2024 Project 365 – Week Twelve

I woke up not feeling well and skipped church (for the second week in a row - oops), but that doesn’t keep me from being deep in the throes ...
