To entertain you while you wait for our annual Christmas
poem (you ARE waiting, right? With bated (baited?) breath? Ha!
Something I posted on
Facebook: Noticed today that one pant leg was a LOT longer than the other
one. Of course I became convinced that my hip surgery (from 5 years ago) had
suddenly shortened my leg. Mike (not being a drama queen) measured the pants.
Yep - one inseam was over an inch longer than the other one. So I guess I'll
cancel that (mental) order for a shoe insert.
My most recent
Facebook profile picture: (Nance, please note the mascara flake under my
left eye. Do not purchase Revlon Ultimate All-in-One mascara!)
Stuff I’ve crocheted while I haven't been blogging:
I'm mostly done with blanket number two. And yesterday I crocheted through the end of November on that temperature monster. It's looking like the Year of the Blanket won't be finished until sometime in January. And even though I looked at the post about the 2017 blanket crochet along, I am NOT going to participate. Nope. Mostly because I have my eye on a totally different kind of blanket. Ha!
OK, I need to get out of here & go finish my Christmas shopping!
I like that new profile picture. You are a chameleon.
ReplyDeleteI like where you placed the corner pieces.
ReplyDeleteYou HAVE been busy! And no, you won't be doing the 2017 blanket crochet along, because you'll be too busy doing another Project 365. I've really missed you doing this!

DeleteWe were JUST talking about all the pictures Mike will need to take for that next year. Ha!
DeleteI promise not to buy any Revlon mascara. Love the picture of you in that knitted hat. Take care.
ReplyDeleteOK, I need to get out of here & go finish my Christmas shopping!
ReplyDeleteI actually cringed when I read that. I've got to hit the grocery store on the way home Friday morning to replenish essentially like milk, eggs, and bread. I'll be standing in front of the entrance as they turn the key to unlock the door. I simply do not want to be anywhere near that place once normal day shift people start arriving, it will be a mad house.
Your crochet is outstanding. It reminds me of my mother who was also good at this kind of craft. She was in fact highly addicted to it, until her eyes failed her due to glaucoma.
ReplyDeletemy crochet skills stopped at a double. it all looks fabulous.
ReplyDeleteI have the hardest time with mascara flaking & giving me dark(er) eyes.
ReplyDeleteThat's funny about the pants. I would have been freaking out.
Love all your crochet projects. As always, you look so cute in the hat. Have a wonderful Christmas!
ReplyDeleteOh, hell. I had such High Hopes for that mascara. Even participated in a marketing campaign for it (via Harris Polls online). Sigh. So far, sticking with my Cover Girl green tube, then. No clumping, but the tubes go fast.
ReplyDeleteDo you steam block your crochet?
I use Cover Girl professional? It's in the pink tube. I like it pretty well, but I bought the other on a whim. And it was more expensive!
DeleteI wet block the squares for the blankets, but don't usually mess with anything else. However, if I'd had time, I should have blocked that wrap in the last picture - it really needed it. But I finished it the night before I had to mail it - no time for it to dry.
You look postively impish in that photo. I really like the beige/tan/ivory/whatever blanket. I like the color, and I like the pattern. Very, very nice!
ReplyDeleteMerry Christmas to you both!
