2024 Project 365 – Week Thirty

Once again I did not work this weekend, although I did bring my laptop home and plan to do a couple of things that will make my Monday morning a little easier. I hesitate to say it, but I think that the worst has passed. Fingers crossed!

Sunday, July 28th

I was so excited when this player got a hit that I had a mishap with my glasses. Ha!

Monday, July 29th

We had us a gulleywasher!

Tuesday, July 30th

We spent some quality time watching the GOAT this week (as well as a number of other ridiculously talented athletes).

Wednesday, July 31st

This is the only “picture” - a screenshot of me purchasing a crochet pattern at 10:30 at night. An acquaintance had texted asking if I could make something for her cat, and since I’m feeling a little more kindly toward cats lately & the pattern looked kind of fun, I thought I’d give it a go.

Thursday, August 1st

“I’m gettin’ old, Mike!” says the 92 year old…

Friday, August 2nd

Absolute chaos this morning trying to brush my teeth with my right hand while simultaneously scrolling my phone with my left hand. Did I hit all four quadrants with my toothbrush? At this point only the Shadow knows. (Note: I was trying to access the app that controls the smart plug that runs the fan in the bedroom - I wanted to turn it off. Also note that the phone was on the counter to my right. It kind of reminded me of when Dr. M & I were trying to do that twining arms cake smash thing at our wedding.)

Saturday, August 3rd

Smoky says there are all manner of lawn mowers out back! The neighbors goats have been having a grand old time in Dr. M’s dad’s yard.

I have nothing else to say here, so feel free to talk amongst yourselves!

Trouble

This is a guest post from my Dad. Actually, it's an email he sent me the other day – I immediately replied asking if I could post it on my blog because it made me smile.

Kittens at Daddy's house in July 2006. I guess one of these could be Trouble...

Trouble was a young tomcat with one green eye and the other one blue, to go with his white coat. He was of low I.Q., like most cats, but not a problem in general – I suppose I called him Trouble to give him confidence.

Then he got his first call to duty. Didn't know what to do. He would go down to the field and come back. He knew something was in the air, but he didn't know what. We started calling him Troubled.

About a week ago he didn't come for his breakfast. Days went by, but his food remained untouched. This was the moment of truth – he was either tomcattin' or dead. Well folks, this afternoon a certain cat came swaggering back home – said my name is Trouble, and give me something to eat!

2025 Project 365 – Week Thirty-six

Speaking of being a drama queen, I am having the busiest Sunday! I had to pick up J at 9:15 to take to church, choir practice at 9:30, churc...
