2025 Project 365 – Week Twenty-nine

Every week it feels like there’s a new level of crazy and depravity. It almost makes me want to unplug entirely. Almost. In any case, we continue to move forward with our little lives.

Sunday, July 13th

Dr. M was highly amused at this neighbor cat being vexed by junebugs.

Monday, July 14th

I’ve taken to photographing my outfit AND my accessories, so I can remember what to wear the next time. I only want to put a lot of thought into it once

Meanwhile, it’s Crepe Myrtle season around here!

Tuesday, July 15th

We ended up with a few ears of corn, so Dr. M made creamed corn for me. It was so good!

Wednesday, July 16th

Seen around the yard. That was the last of the daylilies…

Thursday, July 17th

Another fine edition of #thebugparkingbadly, but in my defense, I was distracted by my passenger. It rode with me from work to the doctor’s office, back to work, and then home!

Friday, July 18th

Happy mail! I don’t usually wear hats, but I might have to start.

Saturday, July 19th

Dove on the bird bath. It continues to be in the 90s here, so I’m glad we can offer some respite to the critters.

I saw this last week & it reminded me of the many times I’ve tried to solicit opinions about things & then just did what I wanted. Help me edit this poem! Psych - I’m not making any of those changes. What kind of chair should I get for the living room? Ha! Those are all great ideas, but look at this completely different chair I got. Should I keep or get rid of this dress? Well I don’t care, it’s comfortable. So I’m sorry, but mostly likely won’t be changing any time in the future. How about you? Do you listen to other people’s advice?

  1. The last sounds good to me but then you don't want my opinion. Right?

  2. The first time I looked at the front view of your hat, I read it as "Do justice, love mercy, walk bumbly." That works, too. Now, I'm thinking of creamed corn. I love creamed corn, and I have a recipe for a creamed corn casserole that's just wonderful. I'll probably end up just getting some fresh corn, de-cobbing it, and adding butter and salt. Your crepe myrtles are glorious. Ours are coming to the end of their bloom, but they've been at it for weeks, and it was a really good year for them.

    1. Walk bumbly is definitely also correct - ha!

  3. Aw, that cat getting annoyed by junebugs is hilarious. And I totally get taking pics of your outfits so you don't have to think about it later – smart. That creamed corn looks yummy too. And OMG, that bug on your car is wild!

I just shared a new post. You are invited to read. Thank you. Enjoy your weekend!
