Speaking of being a drama queen, I am having the busiest Sunday! I had to pick up J at 9:15 to take to church, choir practice at 9:30, church at 10:45, council meeting at noon, take J home, go home for a quick lunch (and write this post) then leave at 3:15 to get J again & take her to the church picnic! (I’m taking my favorite lime jello salad & you can’t tell me nothin.) Anyway, the drama is the big deal I’m making about this. Ha!

Felt cute at church this morning.
Monday, September 1st
Labor Day! I had the day off from work & didn’t do a thing other than untangle some yarn. No photo!
Tuesday, September 2nd
Even Tiny Jesus has had enough of our nonsense! Fly away Tiny Jesus, fly away!
Spent my lunch hour arranging squares on dad & Sue’s spare (queen size) bed), & feeling nostalgic about the number tags I made way back in 2016 when I first started these afghans.
Thursday, September 4th
Heather and her Mum looking fallish.

Dr. M says, sing along with me: Red, Gold, & Green…
Saturday, September 6th
Choir kickoff! I decided to spare you the video I took of us practicing.
Welp, better get this posted & get ready to leave for the picnic. Let me know what you’re up to in the comments!
I saw a young man in a medical office the other day who looked like a werewolf. Heavy black hair and beard and hair on his back up to his head. He had on a tee shirt that read "naughty (crossed out)" and "nice" above it.
ReplyDeleteWhoa! Well I guess I'm glad he was nice!
DeleteI thought I knew the tune to your choir piece, and sure enough; when I read the music, that's the melody that I know. The song was a mainstay of Methodist youth group gatherings in the 1950s and 1960s. I just discovered that it goes back much farther; the words to the 16th or 17th century. Apparently the melody just 'evolved' and doesn't have a specific composer. Cool!
ReplyDeleteIt's really lovely - and when we hit the harmony just right it's perfection.
DeleteIt all sounds too busy for me. I only have to interact with people once a week.
ReplyDeleteIt IS too busy! And next week I have two parties on Saturday & another church meeting on Sunday. I might have to call in sick for the rest of the month!
DeleteRed, gold and green? Is that a song?
ReplyDeleteYour afghan is looking great! It must help to see it spread out on the bed like that. Do you move around the squares for better color coordination?
It's in the chorus of Karma Chameleon (although now that I think about it, I'm not sure that's the song Mike meant!).
DeleteYes - Sue helped me arrange them - trying to keep from pooling too many of the same color scheme together. I admit we didn't work TOO hard on it so I hope it comes out ok!
