Work selfie.
Another work selfie. What the heck. I kind of like the giant yellow/orange flower.
I think we’re maybe going to get one peony again this year. There’s another tiny little bud on our other plant, but it hasn’t changed in a while so I don’t think it’s going anywhere.
I’ve been working on this weird sweater for a while. The jury is still out on it.
The father of one of our group of four passed away, so the other three of us went up to Pilot Mountain to the funeral.
Bed head. I used this photo in a post about my mom (you should be able to read it here). It’s based on a blog post from 2011.

I went to the office for a while, then went by my aunt Vivian’s house to see my aunt Marilyn, who was in town for her birthday. When I got there my aunt Emily, Dad, & Sue were there too. Score! Did I take a photo? Nope. So here is a photo of Mary Jo’s Dr. Van Fleet rose (Dr. M’s great grandmother). It’s fixin to bust out all over!
I'm not very wordy because I've been sick for several days: doctor's office and antibiotics sick. Thanks to testing I know it's not covid, flu, strep throat or pneumonia, so I've decided it probably is Mongolian body rot. With luck, it'll be gone in a couple more days.
ReplyDeleteI love that dress with the giant orange flower. If that thing was blooming in a garden, it probably would be a Tithonia, or Mexican sunflower.
I'm so sorry you have Mongolian body rot! I hope it slinks away very soon. Now I'm off to order Dr. M to plant Tithonias & Mexican sunflowers!
DeleteI like the flowery dress too -- very colorful. I went to Pilot Mountain many years ago -- we're talking like 35 years ago or so, when a friend of mine was living in Winston-Salem. I remember it being pretty up there!
ReplyDeleteIt really was a lovely drive.
DeleteOoo, love both those dresses. You're stylin' girl.
ReplyDeleteThanks!
