2026 Project 365 – Week Forty-five

This week is about hopeium and fall colors. Let’s dive in!
Sunday, November 1st
I lit my annual candle for my mom at this year’s All Saint’s service. And I wore her mother’s ring (I’m the light blue stone).

Meanwhile, sheep continue to stare at Dr. M.

Monday, November 2nd
I was released to the wild! Or, to my office, anyway. My coworkers had started this work of art while I was gone. They added tears when they thought I was going to have to be out longer, and then after I walked in they added the rainbow.

And here is Dr. M’s post on the subject: Dropped off the Bug at work, sling free for the first time in five and a half weeks! It has been a long haul, but now she is free to begin using her right arm again.

Tuesday, November 3rd
I started PT today and there was a ginormous blue wave in politics land. And it continues to be lovely around here.

Wednesday, November 4th
I was awake until after 1 a.m. hope scrolling & still managed to get some work done.

Thursday, November 5th
More fall loveliness – it has seriously been SO BEAUTIFUL this year, just in our neighborhood!

Friday, November 6th
I took a picture of my favorite tree at work. They’re building an apartment complex right there & I’m so glad they left the tree alone.

Saturday, November 7th
Dr. M’s dad’s cat cracks me up.

I’m still spending time on the socials relishing the big election wins. I knew Roy Cooper would probably win (as we say around here, NC doesn’t play about Roy!), but I was astonished at Texas & South Carolina. And I was SO HAPPY to see Sherrod Brown win again. I’m feeling pretty hopeful about Scott Colom in Mississippi (!!!). It’s nice to feel hope again, so I’m mainly skipping any stories about Democratic infighting because what the heck people. How are YOU feeling about things?
