2019 Project 365 – Week Forty-one

Ah well, the Braves had a great run, but they ended their season in rather ignominious fashion. So now is the time of watching baseball & not particularly caring who wins. Except for the Yankees – I never want the Yankees to win. And with that simple statement I have set them up to win the World Series. Because that’s the kind of power I have.
Sunday, October 6th
We’re ready for Halloween around here.

My dinner – sweet potato, bbq black beans, & Greek yogurt mixed with some lime juice & cilantro. It was good ya’ll!

Monday, October 7th
Heather the Witch has grown a fabulous mum! We were given this mum after my hip surgery two years ago & it has come back every year.

Tuesday, October 8th
I tried something new – chili cherry infused diet Coke. I thought it would be spicy, but it wasn’t very.

Wednesday, October 9th                                                         This is supposed to be a triangle, but something seems to have gone awry. I’m going to try blocking it to see if it will work out & if not I’ll frog it & start over.

Finally boot weather!
Thursday, October 10th                                                         Around the yard – still a lot of color!

Friday, October 11th
Ever since they started talking about impeachment I’ve been craving peach cobbler. Thanks to our Oktoberfest I got to get some. Yum!

I’m super unobservant, but even I noticed that my office plant is blooming. Woot!

Saturday, October 12th
I fiddlefarted all summer making “something to wear this fall.” Well, it’s fall now. Reckon I should finish it? #crochet #enneagramnineproblems #serenityvest

It’s Saturday night and I’m watching baseball & working on this post. I’m not sure my life could be more exciting. What crazy things are you doing this weekend?

  1. Hey! Watch it with that Yankee business. Houston is playing the Yanks, and we most assuredly want them to lose! As for what I'm doing on this Saturday night -- I'm reading your blog. What could be better? The only thing I can think of just now is peach cobbler. That certainly does look good!

We've had a front come through, too, and dropped thirty degrees: from 90 to 60. You know about that. We're going to warm up some, though, and get rain all next week, which doesn't please me at all, but there's nothing I can do about it, so I'll just cope. On the other hand, even with rain highs in the 80s and lows in the 70s beat what we've been having. I'll take it!

  2. We had the Big Drop here, too, in one day. Yesterday we struggled to reach 50, and we've woken to 39 here this morning. Boot Weather indeed!

I've been trying so hard to plant my new daffodil and tulip bulbs in this rock hard, drought compacted soil. I am sore in places I never knew I had.

    Impeachment Cobbler...sounds wonderful to me!

  4. The triangle looks kind of like a seagull! It's awesome that you've connected impeachment to peach cobbler. Probably the happiest result of anyone talking about impeachment.

I sometimes get sweet potatoes with black beans for my lunch at work! It's a great combo!

  5. Pretty color in your yard. I'm not much for drinking soft drinks but, I have to say - chili, cherry, diet coke sounds just wrong. Are you supposed to finish projects in the same year started? Oops - my spring shawl is still not finished.

  8. Fun fall decorations.
    Good to see Heather again.
How did you keep your mum alive and well?

  9. That chili cherry infused diet Coke sounds just weird. I gave up drinking sodas when I was pregnant with my youngest one (27 years ago!!!) and thought that as soon as I gave birth, I'd go back to my diet Cokes. I never did, and I never drank soda again.

I took a couple of days off this past week & it was most excellent! My only complaint was that I had to put makeup on & leave the ho...
