I’m inching closer to being done with open enrollment hallelujah! I entered almost all of the enrollment changes on the carrier portals (medical, dental, etc.), & I entered them into the personnel database. I have one more big group to handle & then I can move on to concentrating on my regular job.

Dr. M & I went on a ramble! We were headed to one place, but accidentally ended up at Roan Mountain, where, reader, I was COLD. We practically trotted around looking at the rhododendrons. It was a lovely day. Happy sigh.
Next week is a short week at work due to the July 4th holiday. I’ve already decided that I’m going to be obnoxiously patriotic on Thursday at work. I’m borrowing a very fun excellent dress from Sue, wearing my red, white, & blue jewelry, and my Atlanta Braves glasses toppers (I never bought any patriotic ones). I am an American, the same as everyone else & I shall represent! How about you guys? Too disgusted to celebrate? I’ve definitely been there in years past.
I love my country even when I disagree with some of its leaders, political or otherwise. Of course I'll celebrate! I think Canada Day is coming, too. I need to look up the date for that so I can send greetings to some of my Canadian readers and friends. (Ack! It's July 1!) The thought of you being cold has left me feeling -- jealous. Yup. That's it. We're moving into pure hot now, although the Saharan dust is on its way, and I love it because of its ability to reduce the possibility of hurricanes. One month down, three to go. (We don't really count October, even though the season doesn't end until November 1 or so.)
ReplyDeleteIt was a gift being cold - it was in the upper 80s low 90s when we headed up the mountain. Not Texas hot, but still toasty!
DeleteLook at your tiny little waist!!!!!
ReplyDeleteLove your phone screen saver!
OHHHH NOOOO - i'm having a panic attack just looking at your gas alert - I am currently at 1/4 tank & feeling like I'm going to run out any second LOL - I will be filling up on my way home
Yeah - I definitely pushed it further than I meant to with the gas. My car lets me know when I've got 35 miles to go, but my old one gave me a warning at 50 miles & for some reason I can't seem to grasp the new warning. Ha!
DeleteI'm feeling a bit too sick of having America shoved down everyone's throat to be a flag-waver this year. It will be a celebration of family for us instead.
ReplyDeleteThe signs in that washroom are too much.
They are a bit much, but they made me laugh so I had to share them.
DeleteAnd our double orange have just about bloomed out. Not putting up the flag this year. I do not celebrate what he has made of this country, the hatefulness and cruelty.
ReplyDeleteI definitely thought twice about wearing my patriotic gear - especially because there will be people who don't know me who think I agree with what's going on.
DeleteGlad to see photos from your mountain ramble! I laughed at "passion play extra." LOL!
ReplyDeleteI hadn't really caught my full look until the first time I went to the bathroom at work & I was cackling. It's the Birkenstocks - so Jesus-y. Ha!
