We’re on the cusp of my busy season at work so I’m trying to soak up
the not quite as intense days for a little bit longer. Once it starts it
basically won’t end until late July. I CAN DO IT! (Just a little pep talk.)

Signs of life in the little planter on the front porch. I love these fuzzy things that turn into actual flowers.

Monday was a crazy work day! I sent this photo to Dr. M at 1:18 p.m. with the caption, “Lunch!”
My annual exam, which at my age is pretty quick. Whew!
Wednesday, April 1st
Where were you when Artemis II launched? I was in my recliner, glued to the TV. I remember Challenger pretty vividly (I was a senior in college), so like most of the U.S., I was holding my breath.
Dr. M’s mom’s azalea REALLY bounced back from getting frost-bitten. Wowza!
I had the day off from work & did a lot of yard work. We’re slowly getting things to where we want them to be. Dr. M went to the store to get a hoe (to help plant some more wildflower seeds) & came home with these lovely hanging baskets!

I thought my egg was so pretty with my combo of Penzeys spices on it: Florida Seasoned Pepper (black pepper, citric acid, lemon peel, garlic, orange peel, & onion), & Revolution (flake salt, Tellicherry black pepper, cane sugar, turmeric, orange peel, and coriander).

Happy Easter, and happy regeneration of a whole bunch of plants. Your flowers are gorgeous. The azaleas remind me that I was going to try to make the tour of azalea gardens this year, but the time has passed and the blooms are mostly gone now. Sigh. Spring came faster than I realized, and once again I missed a lot. Time to gear up for late spring and summer. I love your Easter outfit; those are azalea-like colors! And that egg on toast looks pretty good. I always hard boil or scramble eggs; I don't remember the last time I had one cooked like that. I think I didn't like them runny as a kid, so the last time I ate one could have been c. 1955!
ReplyDeleteTo be fair to you, spring is DEFINITELY your busy season at work! I'm fortunate that I live around so many pretty azaleas - I was admiring them on my way to work this morning.
DeleteNo azaleas here yet, but some magnolias have bloomed. So pretty!
ReplyDeletePenzey's is a treasure trove of wonderful spice blends. I don't make my Tgiving turkey without Revolution. Try their Mural of Flavor--it also makes a great dip when mixed with sour cream and mayo.
I've had several people recommend Mural of Flavor. I should definitely check it out!
DeleteThose azaleas are beautiful, both Dr. M's mom's and yours! Love the hanging baskets too.
ReplyDeleteThanks!
DeleteHappy Resurrection Day! Marc went to the library earlier in the week and the librarian told him she put a puzzle in the book for him. It was a Resurrection Day Word Search.
ReplyDeleteI'm sure you both LOVED that. Christians are so pushy. (I would have done it anyway because I love word searches).
DeleteI do love that skirt! And the egg looks good - I don't think that we have such unusual flavourings over here. I can't eat runny eggs any more (I loved a good runny egg) but can do scrambled, and will have it with my green chilli sauce.
ReplyDeleteGreen chili sauce sounds very tasty!
