Healing begins
Slowly…
Yesterday, giddy,
Not groggy
I drove Dr. M bonkers
Today, with the reality
Of benevolent injury
I drowse through pain
And awaken to ice cream…

So glad you made it successfully through your surgery! Bravo. May you come back full to your health as soon as possible.
ReplyDeleteLove the idea of dropping madness into mad river. Why not? Did you try?
Hope you are feeling better soon. Get lots of rest and fresh air. Have a peaceful week! Thoughts and prayers.
ReplyDelete(((HUGS)))
Those could almost be haikus.
ReplyDeleteHeal well.
Sounds like all went well. Take it easy and let it heal. I am new to your blog so I don't know what kind of surgery you had. Take care!
ReplyDeleteWow! That's amazing. You're back and blogging (in very good form) so all, as I predicted, went swimmingly.
ReplyDeleteDid Dr. M. enjoy his trip to Bonkers? I don't think you should have been driving so soon after your operation lubberly Bug.
If you don't want all the ice cream can I have it?
Well done, get fully well very soon,
Phil
Glad you're back. Surgery behind you, recovery ahead of you. Healing will hopefully be as smooth as ice cream
ReplyDeleteLove, smooch, pat, hug. Feel better soon.xx♥
ReplyDeleteP.S. Enjoy your icecream. :D
I was praying for you on Thursday and kept hoping all went well. I hope you remember what the pain pills cause and that my list helps you with that.
ReplyDeleteAnway take it easy and just rest and rest. Keep the ice pack on too. And keep cool.
God bless.
I'm so glad you're safely through the op. Take good care of yourself. Loved the micro-poems.
ReplyDeleteI prayed for you throughout the day. This poem is great. How can you write like that after having been through this??
ReplyDeleteIce cream is the perfect post-surgery tonic.
ReplyDeleteYou will heal, dear. Give yourself time and space. I know you will.
If ice cream does make everything better, then I don't know what does!
ReplyDeleteHappy to hear you surgery was OK!
