I questioned Dr. M about that first photo over on his blog and learned it was a white-tailed deer bounding along. You certainly do have a plethora of flora and fauna.
ReplyDeleteOhio has a very large population of white-tailed deer. A great many of my students hunt, and the norm is to put meat in the freezer for the next year. Unfortunately, too many deer-related wrecks despite the hunting season.
DeleteI went deer-hunting once when we still lived in New York. Except it was with my car.

Best belated wishes to Dr. M. on his birthday.
ReplyDeleteLove that last picture of the moon. It also reminds me of all the talk I heard back in the early 1970's when I was a kid about how we would have a permanent base on the lunar surface by the 21st century. The little kid still inside me find our country's lack of scientific adventure and exploratory daring highly bogus.
ReplyDeletehe certainly has the moon down.
ReplyDeleteLove that bounding deer. Those white tails are so obvious then -- clear where they got their name!
ReplyDeleteAnd a happy belated birthday, too! I just turned 70 last month, and am ready to declare that the years only get better!
It's hard to realize how long a deer's tail is until it sticks straight up in the air!
