2025 Project 365 – Week Fourteen

My nails now have a lime green situation going on. What was I thinking?
Sunday, March 30th
I needed a toothpick at my dad’s house & look! I was highly entertained.

Meanwhile, Dr. M had a turkey sighting!

Monday, March 31st
Spent some quality time during my lunch hour trying to decide whether or not to cut my hair.

Tuesday, April 1st
We had a food day at work, which involved me eating some corn on the cob, which reminded me of this series of photos. Man. That corn was good!

Wednesday, April 2nd
I found myself doing some white lady chair dancing while I was on hold, so of course I had to record it.

Thursday, April 3rd
No photo.

Friday, April 4th
I took the day off so I spent some quality time crocheting & trying to decide if this blanket needs more squares. That’s a double bed there, and the consensus is yes, an additional row on top & down the side – so 10 more squares.

Saturday, April 5th
The azalea at Dr. M’s Pop’s house is looking lovely!

The Braves started the season 0-7. Then last night they won their first game 10-0. So that’s how it’s going to be, is it? I guess I can handle it, but I think there might be more cursing than usual. Kind of like how I feel every time I read the news these days. Sigh.

  1. Yes, the blanket definitely needs more squares. It should hang over enough to accomodate the body bulge under it. Might even need two more long rows.

    1. Yeah - I'll see what it looks like with the next row done.

  2. There's a lot going on in that blanket! When you do more squares, maybe incorporate some more of that coral colour. (Unless you've run out!)

    1. I've got plenty of coral! In fact, the current square I'm making has a pop of coral in it.

  3. I like the toothpick dispenser and the chair-dancing. You crack me up, recording yourself.

Not to make more work for you, but I wonder if the bedspread should have an additional row down BOTH sides, as well as at the top -- so 16 more squares?

    1. Yeah - we'll see what it looks like after I get one more row down the side done.

  4. I remember when a lot of diners and restaurants had cute toothpick dispensers. Of course, I also remember I broke a lot of them. So I understand why they are rare now.

  5. I understand that I'm mathmatically challenged, but it may be worse than I thought. There are five squares on each long side: times two would be ten. Add four more across the bottom, and that would require a total of fourteen more squares. Even if you add rows top and bottom, that would add up to eighteen more squares. I'm going to go have another cuppa and clear my mind. (But I like the blanket very much! I would add more coral.)

    1. Well, if I add the extra column on BOTH sides (as suggested above) then it would definitely be more than 10. But just adding one more row of 5 to the top, and then 5 more down the side would be 10. And the square I'm working on right now has some coral in it!

    1. Not sure why it made me anonymous. 😊

    2. Ha! I think that happens randomly. I'm glad you enjoyed the post!

  7. The Diamondbacks are 5-6 but they're playing Baltimore right now, who are also 5-6. Someone's going to be a .500 team when this one is over!

    1. Amazingly, the Braves beat the Phillies last night. I think it was their second win of the season? Man we suck this year!
