The abominable nail polish has been removed & my nails are currently nekkid. Stay tuned for what might happen next week in As the Nail Turns.
Sunday, March 23rd
Mood (but look at the cute kitties!)
Monday, March 24th
Bathroom selfie. Those sleeves feel very late 80s/early 90s. All I need is some shoulder pads!
Tuesday, March 25th
This was the first of three days of working from 6 a.m. to 5 p.m. I liked this guy’s hoodie.
Wednesday, March 26th
Dr. M says: “You can forget 'Lovin', Touchin', Squeezin'' around here. It is snifflin', weezin', sneezin' season down in the holler!”
Thursday, March 27th
Play ball!
Friday, March 28th
I stopped by Aunt Viv’s house to pick up some more jello salad & enjoyed her flowers. Those pansies are so pretty!
Saturday, March 29th
Dr. M took his Pop to a birthday party for one of their cousins. It was a bittersweet day for Dr. M - he used to work for the family and spent many hours on the property. Now it seems filled with ghosts because so many of the people are gone - including two younger cousins.
Meanwhile, the time of Pinky in the Tub has passed and the time of Blocking in the Tub has begun.
I had a busy week with some good and some hard. Pretty normal I guess. How about you? How was your week?
"Dear person behind me, the world is a better place with you in it."
ReplyDeleteYeah, I have to strongly disagree with the general scope of that statement.
How was my week? We had to put my little dog, Otis, down just last night. Extreme trouble breathing due to heart failure.
I'm so so sorry about Otis.
DeleteNo wonder you said you'd fallen a bit behind with this and that. Days from 6 a.m. to 5 p.m. are long, for sure. I hope you're done with that for a while. Love the hoodie the guy's wearing -- that's really fun. And I laughed at the mention of shoulder pads. I finally pulled out an artsy tee shirt that I can wear now that I've lost a bit of weight, and discovered that the silly tee had shoulder pads in it. It's a dressier sort, so it kind of makes sense, but those shoulder pads went out in the trash.
ReplyDeleteHigh excitement around here, but not because of baseball. The University of Houston Cougars are in the final four. I'm not much of a basketball fan, but I do get interested in March Madness. I guess I might even listen to the games. Whatever happens, I will be rooting against Duke. I have no real reason, but I've never been fond of their teams. Odd.
Duke is polarizing even in NC - Tarheel fans especially hate them. I've never minded them so I'll be rooting for my ACC team.
DeleteJeez! I can't even remember yesterday! But Judy and I (as sous chef and dishwasher) created an absolutely wonderful (and huge) beef stew today. It was delicious and we have enough to last for days and weeks.
ReplyDeleteOooo. You might be interested in Souper Cubes - they have about 1-2 cup size cubes that you can put soup in to freeze. That's what we've been doing with Dr. M's excellent soups.
DeleteToo expensive for us. We'll stick to Tupperware and plastic bags.
DeleteOh, that pink dogwood! We've finally begun to see some forsythia around here, and a few daffodils.
ReplyDeleteAren't you glad the era of shoulder pads is over? (At least I think it is; I don't follow Fashion anymore. For all I know, stirrup pants could be back!)
I could actually use some shoulder pads - I basically have no shoulders. But I would just want them so my purse would stay on my shoulder, not for any fashion reasons. Ha!
DeletePretty much same as usual around here though I did get baby Herrison all to myself for a couple of hours on Saturday while his mom went to the laundromat. And we got some much needed rain.
ReplyDeleteOoo - I hope you took baby photos!
DeleteLOL -- do you ever use the tub as a tub?
ReplyDeleteI love that guy's hoodie. It is so nice to see a positive message meant for a random stranger.
I tried it once, but we ran out of hot water before it was half full so I gave up. There's another regular sized tub in our other bathroom if I ever want a bath :)
