You guys are SO LUCKY this week! You get to see me in FOUR different
toppers! I know you’re really excited, so we’ll just dive in.
Sunday, February 15th
Love song to my husband: I love how absolutely intense you are about curling. Every four years you become an expert with very firm opinions. There is analysis, player bios, cursing, yelling at the announcers, the bliss of your team doing well. And I also love that you will transfer all that intensity to hockey. And, very soon, to baseball! I guess what I’m saying is that I find your 5 wing very sexy 😘 .

Another fine dinner by Dr. M. There are chicken thighs under those onions & peppers & they were delicious, but the star of this meal is the pasta with fire roasted tomatoes. Man. SO GOOD!
I got a little…exuberant… with the cream cheese on my bagel. Ha! (Those are tiny little penguins on my glasses.)
Wednesday, February 18th
I’m wearing Elmo toppers & you can’t tell me nothin’!
The daffies behind our house finally opened up!
Things I did during my lunch break: Walked to a shop. Bought art and a ridiculously expensive chocolate bar ($9 whole dollars!). Opened my cigarette pack to find cute earrings. Ate $9.00 of chocolate. 10 out of 10. Highly recommend. (P.S. those are sheep on my glasses!)
We had a pajama game day at church! It was a blast & we want to do it again for sure (maybe make it a regular thing). We had all ages – from a brand new 7 year old to a 90+ year old. Also, I ate about a quart of banana pudding. My glasses have frogs on them (purchased after hearing about all the frog inflatables from Seattle).
Well, the Olympics are over. Whatever will we do with our time now? We might have to have quiet evenings of reading until hockey starts back up. What a concept! How do you entertain yourself in the evenings?
I loved the daffodil, but liked the yellow snow shovel leaning against the house just as much. At the end of winter, every bit of brightness is good! I can't even conceive of a $9 chocolate bar. On the other hand, I learned about Freija Norwegian chocolate this year, and if I ever decide to buy some of that stuff -- originally given to me as a gift -- I'll have to rearrange my budget.
ReplyDeleteYes - I like the bright colors in amidst the drab. And yes, I would have been better served to just get a Cadbury Fruit & Nut bar (and I used to think THOSE were expensive!).
DeleteWe have quite some time before daffodils here. We're back to snow. UGH.
ReplyDeleteI cannot even remember the last time I would have had banana pudding! Or even Nilla Wafers. Apparently it's been too long.
The crazy thing is that I could have have banana pudding again the next day. What an embarrassment of riches!
DeleteI'm so sorry about your snow. We're back down into the 20s with high winds, but no snow on the horizon, thank goodness!
That's our streaming time, an hour and a half from about 8:30 to +/- 10 though not watching anything specific right now. Waiting for the new season of Paradise next Saturday night.
ReplyDeleteWe're watching one of the Jurassic Park movies tonight. This is how low we have sunk. Ha!
DeleteHow many toppers do you have? I'm thinking a drawerful!
ReplyDeleteA $9 chocolate bar would not pass muster around here, but then again, I don't know how much Dave pays for his chocolate. For all I know it could be that much.
Steve, I counted. I have FORTY-THREE toppers. 43! That's crazypants!
