Very quick hockey update before we dive in – the Hurricanes swept
their second round series! Now we have to wait about a week before our next
opponent finishes their series. We’re on fire!

I had a situation going on. The magnets on these toppers aren’t quite as strong as some others I have.

Ribeye stir fry! It was good ya’ll!
Tuesday, May 5th
Open enrollment has overtaken my office. And this was just a fraction of the paper. Fortunately, it will all be distributed on Monday, but unfortunately some of that paper will be coming back to me.
Wednesday, May 6th
It was packet stuffing day so I wore something comfortable. I was trying to decide if the belt worked or not. I think it does – I look pregnant without it. Ha! Although I think part of the poochiness is the shadow from my hand.
Thursday, May 7th
WE GOT RAIN!!! Which Dr. M used as a car wash for Daisy.
Friday, May 8th
Pretty pretty peony.
Saturday, May 9th
Lunch! I only ate about 10 potato chips.
So, this week open enrollment packets are getting distributed, I have to be at work at 6am on three days, on one of 6am days we’re also having an employee health fair that I’ve been helping with, AND we’re working on a new portal for our health insurance that requires some intense meetings. I’m going to be a total vegetable when I’m writing next week’s post. Something for everyone to look forward to! Anything exciting happening during your week?
Work sounds simply awful for you right now. UGH. All those piles of paper made me shudder, thinking about how I used to have a similar situation with student essays. So glad those days are gone.
ReplyDeleteYes - I feel a little claustrophobic in my little office. On the other hand, the relief when everything is finally OUT of my office is a pretty cool feeling.
DeleteThe only thing happening here is I decided to wash the car. So far has taken me two days. Day three today...windows and vacuum.
ReplyDeleteI'm dreaming of when I'm retired and can break tasks into chunks like that instead of having to do everything on Saturday!
DeleteUgh -- sorry for all the work hassle. I know it's not a fun time of year for you. You'll feel better when all those packets are out of your office! Funny that the toppers attach with magnets. I never really thought about how they might work.
ReplyDeleteYes - it's pretty cool how they work (but not when the magnets aren't quite strong enough).
DeleteMs. Bug, despite your insecurities about your outfit in Wednesday's post, I think you look lovely both ways <3
ReplyDeleteAlso, I just found your blog! For what it's worth, you seem like a very kind and entertaining lady. I hope you continue to post so I may continue to lurk.
Thank you so much!
