2026 Project 365 – Week Twenty-three

As you can see, I didn’t quite get around to writing this post on Sunday. It was a really busy weekend and I just didn’t have the energy to write anything coherent. Let’s see if Tuesday is any better!
Sunday, May 31st
As I mentioned last week, I went to the office after lunch and spent three hours getting some work done. While I was there, I updated my calendar. I made a couple of new squares.

That evening, Dr. M made us a vegetable dinner. Yum!

Monday, June 1st
I had a friend on Facebook post photos of her class ring, which she’d recently found. That made me decide to take photos of my two rings. For college, I got a small one to wear on my pinky finger. I actually did wear these rings a lot when I was younger.

Tuesday, June 2nd
Dad had surgery on his knee today. I spent a while at the hospital with Sue and my aunts. He came through just fine.

Wednesday, June 3rd
I spent some quality time trying to see what my butt looked like in this dress. I wasn’t terribly successful. Ha!

Went to the hospital to spend some time with Dad. The Good Daughter (Sue’s daughter, Cathy) came by with this most excellent goodie basket!

Thursday, June 4th
The only photo is this one I took of the front desk duty roster. We’re down an admin, so we’ve been rotating sitting up there. (And I just now looked at it because I couldn’t remember if I was on there for tomorrow. I am!)

Friday, June 5th
My BeReal for the day shows my mood AND the state of my office.

Saturday, June 6th
I went to the office in the morning & then it was time for Elliott’s birthday party! There are lots of photos, mainly for my family members who read this blog. He’s such a happy boy. I did get one photo of his brother, and the cake. It was Tres Leches cake and oh my goodness! It was SO GOOD.

On Sunday I spent the morning at the hospital with Dad so Sue could go to church. And he got discharged! I hung around until we got him settled at home & then spent another hour at work. I think that I am (for now) ready to just work regular hours for a while. Next month it will be busy again, but for now, the Bug is taking a break!

    1. It was SO delicious! I was regretting the potato salad I had eaten (also good - loaded baked potato variety) because I would have eaten more cake.

  2. Love the dress and the veggie dinner. Most of the dinners I make are veggie because most of the ones Marc makes are meat centric. I think I still have my high schools senior class ring...somewhere. Don't think I ever wore it much.

    1. I loved the stone in mine - it was my birthstone AND our school color.

  3. I'm sure I must have had a class ring, but I don't remember wearing it, and I have no idea what happened to it. Somewhere along the line, it just disappeared. I do remember putting all of my high school annuals in one of my mother's garage sales when she was moving. Clearly, my fondest memories don't include high school, even though I was a good student and pretty involved in various clubs and such.

I need more veggie dinners! You (and Dr. M) keep reminding me of that. I'm getting better about avoiding fat and sugar, but still: more veggies are needed!

Your dad sure looks chipper. I'm glad things went well. I'm amazed by the number of people I know who are getting hips and knees and shoulders replaced.

    1. I'm pretty pleased with how my dad is doing. I keep comparing how he's doing with what it will be like for me when my shoulder is replaced. He even had the same surgeon I will!

    1. Thank you! I apologize that our Hurricane's beat your Canadiens - I would probably have been pulling for them if they'd been playing anyone else!

2026 Project 365 – Week Twenty-six

Man, what a week. I was already exhausted from intense data entry all week & then Dad’s wife Sue fell down the basement stairs on Friday...
