I’ve made a lot of progress on the hand. Now it sort of looks like this.
Except it has four fingers. And no face. And is green. So, exactly the same!

Dr. M saw this horned beast when he went to the post office. Do you see things like this when you go to your post office?

I wore my Braves toppers while I was watching their game & they won, so I decided to switch to my Hurricanes toppers for their game - and it WORKED. They now lead the series 2-1 (it’s a 7 game series, so we have a ways to go - and this is only round 2 of 4. Hockey season lasts about 47 years).
The world is crazy, but I have a very important thing to complain about right now: it’s May and I wore long sleeves almost every day this week. In August I will remember these May days with fondness, but that’s a whole three months from now. How are you feeling about the weather where you are?
That Longhorn has to be someone's pet. And it has a baby! I see them pretty often, although not on the way to the post office. The closest one is in a pasture on the 'long way' to the grocery store. As for the weather, the cattle of all sorts are going to be looking for shade this week. It's been just gorgeous, but the good times are over. It's going to be hot and humid all week long, and maybe longer. Pfffft.
ReplyDeleteI'm always surprised by the number of people who don't know that Cinco de Mayo isn't Mexican Independence Day. On the other hand, I didn't know until quite recently that Linda Ronstadt, one of my favorite vocalists, has family roots in Mexico. If you want a real treat, enjoy her singing a traditional Mexican song, "La Cigarra."
Yes - I knew that it wasn't the same day (it's in September, isn't it?) but as an American holiday it's an excellent excuse to eat Mexican-ish food.
DeleteThere are a couple of folks in our area who have small herds of Longhorns as pets. Angus, Charolais, Hereford, etc., are the norm as far as beef cattle goes. There were two cows with one calf each, but only one of them was actively nursing. There were two other Longhorns grazing beside them.
DeleteI had the furnace on almost the whole week, and I used my heating pad as well. Today, however, we are forecast to reach 80. My patience is at an all-time low with spring.
ReplyDelete80 sounds perfect! It's 61 degrees & raining right now. We won't see 80 until Thursday.
DeleteI saw one walking down the county road one time. I guess he made it back home.
ReplyDeleteThe weather here this last week has been exceptional! Cool mornings, low humidity, no oppressive heat. I'm loving it.
I'm glad you've had such excellent weather because shortly you'll have a LOT more to complain about than I do!
DeleteThose suspenders look ADORABLE on you!!!!
ReplyDeleteI'm still in love wiht your LOVE sweatshirt too - you are just wasting away girl!!!!
Thank you!
DeleteI definitely do NOT see anything like that on the way to my post office. The Cinco de Mayo meal looks yummy!
ReplyDeleteI was specifically thinking about you when I asked that question. Ha!
DeleteIt's strange. An overcast and breezy 69 degree day here and Judy, who had come out to trim a dead plant back, said "I'm going back inside. It's brisk out here!" I quickly followed her and we live in ARIZONA!
ReplyDeleteThat IS cold!
