2025 Project 365 – Week Twenty

I was hoping to have a photo this week, butI haven’t touched the hand I’m crocheting since last week. Oops.

Sunday, May 11th - Mother’s Day

I was feeling a little tender on my way to church today thinking about how life might have been different if my mom was still here.

Monday, May 12th

I told Dr. M that he was a good pan dad.

Tuesday, May 13th

Pretty nails!

Wednesday, May 14th

Another iron infusion. I think it helped?

Stir Fry! It was really good (and that’s good because we ate the leftovers for the rest of the week).

Thursday, May 15th

A fraction of the paper involved in open enrollment packets. I worked late on Thursday & then went in early on Friday & was utterly exhausted, but all the packets were completed & delivered. Woot! Kudos to my coworkers Kim & Sarah for their hard work helping me this year.

Friday, May 16th

I sent this photo to my sister-in-law. My brother drives a truck & I think she needs these toppers in her life. Ha!

I sent a toy to my nephew & his girlfriend for their birthdays & decided to video how it works. It’s like some sort of wizard magic!

Saturday, May 17th

My weird lunch - jalapeno tuna, mayo, cheddar, feta, and PEAS. It was good!

Next week is going to be pretty intense at work - all the open enrollment packets will be rolling in & there are 650ish, so I need to stay on top of them so they don’t get out of control. I’m pre-tired - ha! What does your upcoming week look like?

  1. I'm still thinking about jalapeno tuna. I really like jalapeno poppers, and I can take a little in certain dishes, but... with tuna? It certainly is a Dana-like dish! The stir fry, on the other hand, looks delish. I laughed at the toppers. That's truck-related, for sure. I never think of trucks without remembering the Grateful Dead's fabulous "Truckin'."One things for sure-- whether we're rolling on 18 wheels or just living, it's turned into a long, strange trip.

    1. I was skeptical about the tuna too, but they had the packs on sale for $1 each & I thought what the heck. It wasn't too bad!

  2. Hopefully my upcoming week will include some yoga.

  3. That DOES look like a good stir-fry. And the unicorn/car toys are quite amazing! How did someone ever invent that?

Hope this coming week goes smoothly! Did you ever get an answer on why your iron is persistently low?

    1. No I don't know - my scopes came back clean (except for some internal hemorrhoids - could that be it? I'll ask my doctor at my next appointment).

    2. If the hemorrhoids are actively bleeding that could do it, I would think. Worth asking!

  4. That Mother's Day pic just breaks my heart... I know that feeling well

Ohhhh I dont miss those Iron infusions. Do you have side effects. it always messed me up - my face would go numb & they'd make me sleepy - id get a fever for 24 hrs too! My body HATES IRON.

Iron Skillets intimidate me. My dad always did good with his too!

    1. I've never had any side effects - including feeling better. Sometimes I THINK I'm feeling better afterward, but I think that's the placebo effect.

  5. When I was a tot it was the three R's: Readin', Ritin' and 'Rithmatic. A lot of years later and it's still the three R's: Retirement, Relaxation and Restfulness. 😄
