Fourteen

So, I have a couple of blog friends who are doing the "10 on 10" dealio - where you take a picture each hour for 10 hours on the 10th of the month. I totally meant to do it on Saturday, when the pictures had a chance of being interesting, but I forgot. And then this morning I had the bright idea of doing 14 on 14! Brilliant! Yeah, not really - ha! But I did it, so you get to suffer through it. You can click on the pictures to make them bigger. You know, if you want to mess with that.

  1. 7:00 a.m. Packing all my bags in the car - lunch, purse & crochet bag.
  2. 8:00 a.m. Almost to the office - woot!
  3. 9:00 a.m. Morning light through my office window - I often have to stick something up there to keep it out of my eyes this time of year.
  4. 10:00 a.m. Time for a snack - whole grain goldfish & Diet Sundrop.
  5. 11:00 a.m. Busy busy busy!
  6. 12:00 p.m. Lunch! Grilled chicken, broccoli & a wild & brown rice mixture.
  7. 1:00 p.m. Spent some of my lunch hour crocheting.
  8. 2:00 p.m. Is eating all I do at work? This is chopped apple, banana & I remembered to add the slivered almonds after I took the picture.
  9. 3:00 p.m. Potty break. Mary was wondering why in the world I had my camera in the bathroom. So was I. Ha!
  10. 4:00 p.m. Time to do some filing.
  11. 5:00 p.m. Homeward bound!
  12. 6:00 p.m. Dinner - Dr. M was teaching late so I made myself egg salad & livermush toast (on Amy's homemade bread - thanks Amy!).
  13. 7:00 p.m. Facebooking.
  14. 8:00 p.m. If you look closely you'll see my crochet stuff on the swing. It was so nice to sit outside & work on it a while.

There you have it. A day in the life. Right now we've got NCAA basketball on & I'm working on this post. Then it's bed time. I can hardly stand the excitement. But you know? I kind of like my life. I just need to add a few more fruits & veggies to my days!

  1. I don 't think my 14 pictures a day would be that interesting. But then you never know. Maybe I'll give it a try. :)

  2. You have a busy day, Dana. Your office looks like there is much work to be done. It looks like a comfortable setting though.

What you enjoyed for lunch, I had for dinner tonight. Mine was yummy. I hope yours was too.

Your porch swing looks like a very relaxing place, unless zombie deer come around. Thank you for sharing a day in your life. =D

  3. I'm really bad at taking pictures. I wouldn't want to bore folks with them. But yours are nice. An interesting assignment.

  4. #3: Pretty sure you're not complaining, right? And as far as NCAA goes - go ISU Bengals! (That's Idaho State, and the women's tournament.)

  5. Actually, it seems like you're doing pretty well on the fruits and veggies. Broccoli, apple, bananas!

I think one of the secrets to happiness is finding pleasure in all life's little routines, which you seem to do. :)

  6. Thanks for the info on livermush, by the way. I remain skeptical. :/

  7. Your day looks a lot more interesting than mine would. I'm not sure I'd have the courage to take the camera to the bathroom either!

  8. Love it! That is not boring at all. Fun to see where you work and what happens in a day. Seems like you eat pretty healthy to me. Good work!

I'd be afraid to do it as people would fall asleep by photo 3, my life is so thrilling:)

  11. I enjoyed looking at your day. I've got to work on my crochet. You are learning faster than I am.

  12. You didn't take a potty break until 3 p.m. ??? Wow...I am impressed. Glad to see you are still hooked on yarn..

  13. Sitting on that porch swing crocheting? That would make me seriously happy.

  14. You eat goldfish!!!???
OK, so times are tight. Please post the recipe. Sigh!

Um... what is a wholegrain goldfish anyway? Is that a special fish food like they feed grain to beef to get grain fed beef. Maybe wholegrain fed beef would be a healthier option, but imagine the omega 3's in wholegrain fed goldfish! Holy Mackerel!
No, I leave that idea for another day after the insanity wears off!

  17. i would have to do that on a day off - as otherwise it would be ten rather uninteresting pictures of the locker where i have to put my camera phone if i'm in the office :(
