I can’t believe that it’s almost
July. Just a few more days & my youngest nephew heads off to Army boot camp
in Oklahoma. Yikes!
Saturday,
June 23rd
Why yes, he does have the good
Kung Fu.
I really
wish grackles had a pretty name to match their pretty selves.
The moon!

Mrs. Cardinal sporting her spiky
‘do.
No mission is impossible for
this squirrel!

Wild flowers…
Not so wild flowers at a friend’s
house.
The moon!
Tuesday,
June 26th
We just about hit for the cycle
with our lilies this week.
Love the farming landscape up
here.
Wednesday,
June 27th
More wildflowers.
More not so wild flowers in Dr.
M’s school colors.
Thursday,
June 28th
Pinky, our pet geranium.
It was just a little
bit hot here yesterday. Which is why it was extra fun for our air conditioner
to go out.
Friday,
June 29th
I had to laugh today. I was
looking for one of my Leslie Sansone walking DVDs when I came across this
little stack. I wonder just what kind of workout the Bodysnatchers is?
After the maintenance guy came
by & rigged the air conditioner so that it will work over the weekend
(he has to get a part & come back), we had a storm & the temp dropped
thirty degrees.
This is an “Oops I haven’t taken
a State of the Bug picture yet” State of the Bug picture. I don’t know why I
made that face.
Go to Sara’s blog here to see the blogs of
all the other Project 365 participants. Have a great week!
Most of our photos are taken with a 12
megapixel Nikon D5000 DSLR, using a 55-200mm zoom lens. This is the camera that
Dr. M takes with him most days. He also takes pictures with our old reliable 7
megapixel Canon Powershot A710. The Bug uses our new Nikon Coolpix S6200 most of the
time. If you’re interested in which camera was used for a particular shot, just
ask!
I love all of the beautiful flowers this week! And the squirrel with the corn made me laugh. So industrious! Wish the temp would drop 30 degrees here. I've a hankering to wear my new shawl, but it's an effort to put any clothing on at all, let alone wool.
ReplyDeleteYou must have breathed a sigh of relief when the temperature dropped thirty degrees.
ReplyDeletegreat photos - love Tom Cruise the Squirrel doing his Mission: Impossible stunts.
ReplyDeleteAnd he's probably taller as well....
Wow, I haven't seen "Invasion of the Body Snatchers" in years and years. I think I'll rent it today! Thanks for the reminder!
ReplyDeleteLots of pretty flowers.
ReplyDeleteWe had to replace our AC in the middle of August two years ago. We had to do without for about 5 days.
Love the moon pics. I would LOVE to have a storm blow through here and drop temps 30 degrees. Heck, I'd settle for 10 degrees. Have a good weekend. :)

Wow. Nice pics! And grackles know that beauty comes from within, not from a label that someone throws on them.
ReplyDeleteLove all your flower pictures, wild or not so wild.
ReplyDeleteAnd yes, the temperature dropping by 30º, yes. Please.
I think my favorite was the one of you. You make the most adorable faces!
ReplyDeleteThe temperature dropped 30 degrees in ONE hour! We were at the farmers' market dressed for summer heat, and then so quickly shivering.
ReplyDeleteI think that's your "You've got to be kidding!" look :) Like maybe you read some bit of trivia that's just too weird to believe, perhaps?
ReplyDeleteLovin' all the flowers! This is our "dead" season right now. We have some green but nothing blooming.
That squirrel is like a lot of women when it comes to chocolate -- we overcome any obstacle to get to the prize! :)
HOW do you catch squirrels in all their acts?
ReplyDeleteI'm so happy about the hotness and yes, I realize I'm in the minority.
That's a big book you are reading!
Loved the one purple cone-flower in among all the blackened Susan's....lovely!
ReplyDeleteWho knew Tom Cruise and squirrels had something in common...:)
Blessings
R

ReplyDeletethe squirrels obliterate my bird seed...i'm ready for a bb gun!
ReplyDeleteLove them! The moon is typical Dr. M moon and the flowers were so gorgeous i could smell them. I loved the rolled hay shots too...and you were too cute in your state of bug. Have a great week and a wonderful 4th.
