Monday, August 10th
I texted this to Dr. M. Something seemed to have gone awry with my “updo.” Made me laugh. But I had a good walk at the mall with my bestie, so that part was ok.
It looks JUST LIKE the picture, right? Ugly, but tasty. We usually get the one that has four peppers and add extra rice, but I couldn’t resist the terribly cute little box of one.
We actually walked twice this week! Click on the photo to embiggen it so you can read this week’s sermon (“millennial” made me laugh).
I was trying to get a photo of this really cool shirt my coworker gave me. It’s longer in the back than the front. It looks better in person.
When they say sour they mean sour! I like all the flavors except for pink grapefruit & yet I still eat the pink grapefruit & then I look like this.
I was influenced to get this weird lipstick stain where you put it on & then peel it off. I like the color pretty well – we’ll see if it’s actually long lasting or not. It reminds me of the lipstick I used to get years ago that went on blue or purple & then changed to pink or red. No peeling necessary!

I don't care how hard Google tries -- I'm not going to use my Google account to comment. If I could figure out how to avoid gmail and youtube, I'd do that, too!
ReplyDeleteI'd forgotten about the 'lipstick' that we used as a 'starter cosmetic' back in the 50s. It was called Tangee; it was actually pretty neutral, and it would turn different colors on different girls. You still can find it at the Vermont Country Store, which is pretty amazing.
That poor stuffed pepper! I read an article once about food photography that turned me into a bit of a cynic. One detail I remember is the use of hair spray on buns to give them that perfect shine in ads! I do hope that's the mall parking lot, and that you aren't doing your walking down there!
I looked up the lipstick too & saw that Tangee was still around. I didn't get that brand, but I can't remember what I had. It was fun though.
DeleteBeautiful song! Stuffed peppers are delicious, I used to cook them often, but now less and less, as the years go by, some dishes are harder to stomach.
ReplyDeleteI can see where that might be the case - I have the same problem with foods that I LOVED as a child. Sometimes I still try to eat them & usually regret it. Ah well.

Yes! The longer you leave it on, the brighter the color is. It's kind of weird. TBD whether I really like it or not.
