Junior Mozart Music Club

Object to be Destroyed by Man Ray

Junior Mozart Music Club

Mrs. Hart did her best.
Eighth note and arpeggio,
B Major and Für Elise
floated around my
adolescent head
looking for all the world
like that new top
I saw at the mall,
and sounding like
Saturday morning cartoons.
My metronome gathered dust
and I was (obviously)
not a star at the
quarterly meeting of the
Junior Mozart Music Club.

At least I looked cute for my piano recital :)

  3. Quite an elegant dress -- seems like it might have made pedaling the piano a challenge, though!

  4. for some reason that dress makes you look disproportionally tall - i think its the high waistband

In our music class in the period of two years we saw one Xylophone between two children - once. The rest of the time was spent watching our teacher sip her coffee, call us "people" and ask us to keep quiet (the coffee was there for a reason)

Oh, and interesting factoid - Mozart's first name isn't Wolfgang - It's Johannes

What a cutie you were (and are).

  15. I once was at a piano concert, big fancy do with a famous artist playing Beethoven, and someone's cell phone went off. Fur Elise. Went off for a whole minute. I think the owner was too embarrassed to make a move for it.
