My heart beats the same as always
(really, I’m healthy as a not-too-elderly horse named Felicity).
What happens when the world crashes down around me
(or even when it’s just a non-load bearing wall crumbling at my feet)
is this:
I feel the punch in my core and it shakes loose.
The chasm opens and there it goes and I with it - down down down.
Every time.
Abide with me; fast falls the eventide. The
darkness deepens, Lord, with me abide. When other helpers fail, and
comforts flee, Help of the helpless, O abide with me.
~ Abide With Me,
The Hymnal 1982
When I look at this picture it's as if something magical is about to happen.
ReplyDeleteThat's how it feels when I'm on my bike :)
DeleteI'm with Stephen...it's almost as if I can feel the cool, damp evening air on my face!
ReplyDeleteDaisy, Daisy, give me your answer, do -- you look FABULOUS on your bike. And I agree, it feels like something magical IS happening when I get to ride!
