    I need a better camera. A pileated woodpecker came to the birdbath yesterday. first time I've seen one of those at the bird bath.

      I think we've seen a woodpecker a couple of times at our bath - but I think it just took a sip of water & headed off. In any case we haven't ever gotten a picture of one.

    I'm trying to figure out who might have had more fun...the bird splish-splashing, or you (or Dr. M?) taking these pictures. They made me smile!
