Magpie Tales – Week Eight

It's time again for Willow's Magpie Tales. Each week she posts a prompt around which a tale should be formed. Click the link above to see other offerings.

Would the loss have been less
if I had been the one to
loose my fingers from
that love?

It slipped through the sky
all joy and free
while I looked askance
at my empty palm.

I sit in the garden
watching the play of light
on the hand that
once touched love.
