Thankful Thursday
Well I had a great time yesterday, but my feet are killing me (I never did like those shoes). So let’s just sit back a minute & write this here Thankful Thursday post.
• I’m thankful for the fabulous imaginations of those folks at the ball. It was so much fun to read about fictional gowns & dates & canapés & the finding of keys in brassieres.
• I’m thankful that I’m not craving ice anymore.
• The other day my boss and another executive in our company were discussing how they didn’t get why people use Facebook & surely you’d never think you were actually friends with a person you never met. I just kept my mouth closed. I’m so thankful for all the friends I have in this cyber world. I still probably won’t give you my bank account information. Heh.
• I’m always always thankful for Dr. M, but this past week has been especially fun. He had a blast at the ball, and he has had a blast decorating our house for Halloween. He’s going to be a pirate again this year & give out buckets of candy (you think I exaggerate). He is so much fun to be around.
So, what are you thankful for today? What brings fun to your life?

Thursday's are my "day off" LOL! But I am thankful for the quiet of the house right now. The bread dough proofing on the counter and the fan sitting next to my computer!

I'm grateful that the house our thirty-one year old son owns has, after two years on the market, finally sold, and he can now move out of our spare bedroom.
ReplyDeletehumor takes a couple a long way, yes? that's something to be thankful for, indeed. ;)
ReplyDeleteI was so busy looking at the shoes I missed the gun! Not a woman to mess with.
ReplyDeleteHmm, today my youngest children ate quiche for the first time. As they are rather horrific carnivores in the main, this was very pleasing. And we had ice-cream sundaes for pudding!
I'm thankful I am not visiting your house with that bucket of candy calling me to have another, and another, and another. I have absolutely no self control when it comes to those little bits-sized bars. And you have outdone yourself with the variety.
ReplyDeleteMany things bring fun into my life and today it was our goofy dogs who seemed to think a wet leaf blowing on the deck was somehow alive and somehow needed to be investigated.
I am thankful the Tigers pulled another rabbit out of the hat, though it was touch a go there for a bit. May they continue their forward motion deep in the heart of Texas.
ReplyDeleteYum. The candy looks great at your house.
I think the internet has changed the entire concept of friends - why not be mates with someone across the other side of the world?
ReplyDelete:)
Well, you know how I feel about FB, but I still get the concept of Friends You've Never Met and crowd sourcing. The Interwebs have changed several ideas of things, and I think it's important to understand that there are--just as there have always been--several kinds of Friends and levels of Friendship.
ReplyDeleteNow, about that account info...!
I have a friend who eats ice non-stop. That candy looks so yummy. Reminds me I need to go get some from the store for Trick-or-treaters. It will be here before we know it.
