Thankful Thursday

Ah June! Let’s see what’s making me smile this lovely June day…

  • Hallelujah! The coughing left me on Tuesday. I coughed all day at work (apparently drove my boss to leave work early), but by the time I arrived home it was over.
  • There are growing things in our garden – tomatoes, bell peppers & zucchini. I’m excited to see all the green against the dark brown earth. I have the same feeling I had last year – I don’t even care if we harvest anything because the growing of the things is so much fun. Especially since The Watering Man is on the case & all I do is take pictures (I’ll post some on Saturday). Heh. However, eating a home grown tomato would be pretty sweet so I hope we have a nice harvest like last year.
  • The weather has been hot & sunny and I’m loving it. I don’t usually tolerate heat very well (my cooling system doesn’t really work very well – I don’t sweat enough), but my hip loves the heat so I am not going to complain about it.
Now it’s your turn – what are you thankful for today?

  1. I'm most thankful for the short work week. I can't believe it's almost Friday. I felt like last night was an entire week packed into one shift so the short week is a real benefit here.

The humidity left town yesterday and the resulting sunny and breezy day was gorgeous. More of the same in the forecast today. Now that's something to be thankful for, too.

I'm glad your pain is easing.

  2. That we crossed the hurtle of graduation, have positive vibes about the coming year, that the garden is flourishing, and that I am enough today. :c) Hugs ya!

  3. So thankful to reach the second anniversary of my near-fatal GI bleed.

  4. I'm thankful I did not have to turn the AC on until 3 p.m. It's 80 degrees and perfect weather!

  5. So far we have enjoyed several zucchini from the garden, no tomatoes or peppers or cucumber yet but it won't be long and we will have lots of fresh garden veggies.

I think the garden is one of my favorite things about summer!

    Blessings

  6. Well I am glad that the cough is gone. I had a cough one summer that lasted almost 2 months. It was horrible.
    Yum to garden foods :)

2024 Project 365 – Week Twelve

I woke up not feeling well and skipped church (for the second week in a row - oops), but that doesn’t keep me from being deep in the throes ...
