A little more than 24 hours after I had nothing to say...

I got this bottle sweater in the mail:

We had visited the Maker's Mark distillery a few years ago & had a terrible experience in their gift shop. I wrote them a flaming letter & they sent us a bunch of swag - I was well satisfied with the exchange. I can only assume that I'm on their list because of that. In any case, not being a drinker, I came up with a different use for the sweater.

A Christmas Cow - we put him under the tree. Now Christmas is complete!

  1. I'm not sure your cow looks happy to be wearing this sweater. Statistics show that cows wearing dorky sweaters are more likely to be "tipped" than those that go au naturel.

  6. I'd love to hear how you came to visit the gift shop at the Makers Mark distillery if you're not a drinker! Cute cow!

  7. I'd love to know what you wrote in your letter. Just how bad can a gift shop be to provoke such a profitable outpouring of ire.

  9. Just right! When I looked at your tree in the last post I kept thinking...a Christmas cow would improve it a lot. And a Christmas cow wearing a Maker's Mark sweater? Priceless!

  11. Actually he looks quite happy, like he found the bottle of booze, had a nip, and then stripped it. haha! ;)

  13. Having seen many, many photos of Dr. M's obsession to and from work, I thought that was a SHEEP wearing the sweater...until I read the fine print. Oh well. I guess the sweater might have originally come from a sheep, or an ester who was similarly willing to give up its coat. I think its name is Poly.
