Magpie Tales #23

Fire water filled that hole
in their hearts
the way chocolate
ignites mine.

Did they drink
to forget that
pale rape
of Eden?

Do I savor
this dark manna
to forget that
I am not here?

What can extinguish
the demons in the water
and the chocolate?
Pull the pin and see.

  3. Dear The Bug,
I love what you do with these memes and tropes. You just keep going and going, higher and higher, with more range and striking power.

When that inner voice is talking to you and putting words in your head, outside of anyone else's meme, start writing immediately! You might already be doing this, but if not, I am here to say that You Are Ready.

    Pull the pin,
    Have a great picnic today!
    xo,
    Ann T.

  6. Dear Bug: What happens when we pull the plug? Shall we...:) Got to now! Love chocolate and water...not sure about water...give me just chocolate and milk! This is undoubtedly a French confection? EXcellent! "pale rape of Eden"? Very poetic inference! Is this Biblical? Let's hope so! jANE jONES

  10. This explains why I always use chocolate to help stave off an erupting flare of anger at an editor. I now see it's all connected. Clever, very clever.
