Mixed Metaphors
I’m a brunette.
No yellow hair here –
not even on my belly.
So it should be no surprise
that I didn’t turn tail,
that I decided to stick –
that I turned into
your arms
instead of
away.
This is a Magpie Tale and part of my ABC's of Gratitude series.
no yellow belly for sure...haha...fun read bug
ReplyDeletewell done.

ReplyDeleteNo mellow yellow kisses here, then...♥
ReplyDeleteGood one, Bug. Unfortunately when I saw the word "yellow" that silly song, "Mellow Yellow" stuck in my small brain.
ReplyDelete.. my hair used to be yellow, now it's white! Love what you did with both prompts.
ReplyDeleteOh no! Just before I read ncmountainwoman's comment I started humming "Mellow Yellow"!
ReplyDeleteI've never heard "Mellow Yellow" but still think yours was an enjoyable Magpie.
ReplyDeleteI don't think I've heard of Mellow Yellow (except for the soft drink) - but I probably have & just cleared it out of my head :) I'll have to track it down.
ReplyDeleteCute!
ReplyDeleteI like this, but the prompt made me think of something else entirely. Yellow and tail in one post? Reminds of the Thanksgiving my best friend got my mom drunk on Yellow Tail chardonnay and then both melted into two sobbing messes. Ah...good times.
ReplyDeleteLoved it!
