Thankful Thursday

Well, here’s a rare day (you may want to mark it down). I have nothing to say. Sure, I’m thankful for the day’s beauty, that I’m up and about, and as always, thankful for Dr. M. But I don’t have anything in particular to say about those things. So, here are a few more words & then you can tell me what you’re thankful for today. Please feel free to be more lavish with your words than I was!

The bright sun
through my window
makes me drowsy
and draws from me
my last remaining
thought.
Are my eyes even open?

  4. I'm always thankful for being "up and about", and for fine, moderate weather. This is what sets the tone for the whole day and gives one the necessary strength and energy to deal with everything that happens during the day.

  6. Beautiful, but are you sure it's not the lamp shining in your eyes because you fell asleep reading your kindle and forgot to shut it off? I do that all.the.time!

I'm am thankful that for once in my life, a physician's referral for a surgeon actually served up a real life human totally lacking the Dr. House arrogance so common to that particular profession. I keep wondering when I'll see the mean side of this man and I'm beginning to think he doesn't have one. It's a miracle.

Oh...there is no humidity in the air today. My windows are open and it's absolutely glorious out there. That's something to be thankful for, even if I know it's only a temporary lull in the battle with the elements.

  7. I'm thankful that I have water again, both cold AND hot. I'm thankful for the water that runs in the river and for the time I am able to spend watching it flow by (while I work to try and haul out a monster steelhead). I'm even thankful for the water that is falling from the sky because I don't have to water my flowers.
