Here we are at Thankful Thursday again. This will be brief. Because mostly I’m thankful that I probably have a common cold instead of bubonic plague. Probably. And you know, all things considered, that’s definitely something to be thankful for.
I’m also thankful that it’s been very busy at work today, so that except for sneezing about 47 times (I’m pretty sure I’m not exaggerating), I haven’t had time to think about how awful I feel.
I’m thankful that I’m listening to an interesting audio book (the first Eve Dallas book by J.D. Robb – I’ve read them all, but thought I would start back at the beginning). It keeps me alert and a little more civil out there on the road.
And that’s it – I’m just too knackered to be thankful about anything else right now. Oh, wait, I’m thankful that by next Thursday my nose should be back to normal!

Oh no! The dreaded sneeze attacks! Mine are usually followed by the 'creeping crud.' Yes, by next Thursday, you should be able to breathe through the night again. Hot tea with orange, cinnamon and cloves (like Barnes and Noble's Holiday tea) with honey will help you to feel better, or a gool ol' hot toddy, and funny videos, too. Laughter is good for any ailment. Take care!
ReplyDeleteWell definately being thankful its not the bubonic plague is a good one!!
ReplyDeleteI really enjoy the Eve Dallas books too- though I've only read the ones in the Library, which is not all of them. Real fun escapism!
Thank you for visiting me at my place today!
I hope you feel better soon!
ReplyDeleteGreat to be hooked on a great series of books.
ReplyDeleteI'm thankful you'll be better next week too.
ReplyDeleteI read your Kindle post and I was inspired to ask if you've checked with your local library to see if they have e-books you can download. Ours does, so the person who objected to paying for them can get past that objection!
ReplyDeleteFeel better soon...
I hope you feel better soon. I had that crud during Christmas and still am coughing. Enjoy the weekend and get better.
ReplyDeleteFeel better soon. I just finished the last Death book and read it in a day. I wish I could linger, but can't seem to help myself. I'm always in a hurry to keep on reading her stories.
ReplyDeleteYes indeed.. ALWAYS something to be thankful for, isn't there? :c) Feel better soon!
ReplyDeleteNever read any of those books...what are they about? I am always looking for a good read!
ReplyDeleteHope you feel better very soon!

Hooray for no bubonic plague! I do hope you're feeling better.
ReplyDeleteYou find the BEST memes! This one is so up my alley. Take care of yourself!
ReplyDeletePoor Bug, hope you'll be better soon. It tickles me that you used the word knackered in your post. I didn't know Americans ever used that word. I'm saying it in an American accent right now and its sounds funny.
ReplyDeleteI am so glad that you don't have the plague. Several guys at work have been sick lately. Please, I don't want it. :)
